May 21, 20179 yr Love the detail at which the code is analyzed by the team. You can't do that, without a very good understanding of everything involved. Hats Off! Bob Officially retired
May 21, 20179 yr This progressive work to improve X-plane is one of the reasons it has become my number one platform. As much as I enjoy Prepar3d and the many $ of addons I've invested in for it, I find X-plane 11 more immersive. I've owned, and occassionly used every version since v9, but version 11 is the first one to really win me over. Of course Prepar3d v4 may pull me back in that direction, especially if all my ORBX scenery will still work. Only time will tell. Nothing wrong with having more than one sim though :). May 21, 20179 yr I been away for a while but this news is great news indeed. Eger to try it out once .02 it's release. This sim is definitely envolving with each update. Also someting good to look forward to. Bob
May 22, 20179 yr Will be interesting to see whether the optimizations make any difference on an 8 core CPU. -
May 22, 20179 yr 1 hour ago, JimmiG said: Will be interesting to see whether the optimizations make any difference on an 8 core CPU. well according to the blog they mentioned that in future they plan to add more cores. So i guess for now the 4 cores are the limit and once we see 8 core push on the mainstream market get a change ;)
May 23, 20179 yr Are all or most of the improvements that are coming already in the current beta? Bob Officially retired
May 24, 20179 yr pretty much yes. i am getting around 10+ frames to clarify a little bit. I was mostly CPU bound in the frames, and the car optimizations seem to help me there quite a bit pushing the limits.
May 24, 20179 yr Live stream with Austin Meyer Austin Meyer will be "going live" on Facebook to answer as many questions as he can about the current and future of X-Plane. He might even reveal some new things that have yet to be announced. Once he gets talking, you never know... :-) Just come to the X-Plane By Laminar Reseach Facebook page at 9pm USA Eastern time to check it out. https://www.facebook.com/events/215377148973878 CASE: Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 MB: Msi Z590 Tomahawk CPU: Intel i7 11700K RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 2400 MHz COOLER: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 120 HD: Samsung 970 Evo 250GB GPU: Nvidia (Asus A8G) GTX 1080 PSU: Cooler Master V750 FAN: Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 120 Air Flow RGB (x4).
