May 31, 20179 yr Does anyone know if A2A (182/172 Specifically) have updated their installers for P3D v4? Also I would like to get my RealAir lancair legacy working in P3D v4 if anyone could please explain the process. Is it fully working or there are some issues with sound? This is one of my favorite GA planes and I hope it will work 100%. May 31, 20179 yr Author Thanks, sorry missed that... I got the realair lancair v2 working in P3D v4, however there are no sounds for gear and flaps up/down, everything else seems to be working well. Anyone know if there's a fix for that? May 31, 20179 yr A2A Simulations Accu-sim C172 Trainer is updated on the A2A Store at the moment and being rolled out to third party retailers, with I believe sim-market already being live also with the new updates.
May 31, 20179 yr the RealAir TDuke v2 is just a matter of running the installer, however, it intalls in P3Dv3, but you can easily copy the entries from the simobjects.cfg and effects.cfg (under program data/Lockheed Martin) to the P3Dv4 ones. I'd imagine the Legacy wont work much different. I'm also curious about A2A. On their forum I read that we need to wait for new installers, I get the aircraft itself in the sim, but nothing works, while on the compatibility list, they're listed as 'working'. Anyone who can shine a light on the matter? Cheers! Maarten

Anyone who can shine a light on the matter? OP says that he have no P3D versions of RealAir, so not possible install it into P3D via installer. And about A2A. if you just copy aircraft from v3 to v4, then it can't work corretly as you described, that is reason why you have wait for new installer. A2A uses some binary DLLs which need be recompiled for 64bit sim for propher work. i7-8700k, RTX2070 Super, custom water cooling, 32GB RAM, 6TB SSD spacePrepar3D v4, X-Plane 11, 40" 4k TVRex, Active Sky, RealAir and A2A pilot, GTN, ORBX mostly everywhere

Interesting, the sound issue has been reported for the Turbo Duke since that one use a 3rd party sound gauge, which is being fixed by that party. However, from my understanding the Lancair mostly works. So I am curious as to what others will help you with. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. May 31, 20179 yr This has worked for earlier version of P3D, perhaps it will still work for P3D v4.0 for both the Lancair and Duke. Cheers Martin

Cheers Martin I don;t think this is going to work. AFAIK, the Realair sound gauge (by Doug Dawson) will have to be recompiled against the new V4 SDK for 64bit operation. You can indeed point the installer to the P3D v4 folder, but for me the entries for the cfg-files where made in the P3D v3 folder, so I had to copy them over. Cheers! Maarten
May 31, 20179 yr You can also just create a folder anywhere on your computer and Install both the Turbine and Legacy there, If you don't have v3 Installed you will get a message at the end of the process (Cant find .cfg files) That's Ok, Just click out of it, You will then have to manually pop the entries into the effects.cfg and simobjects.cfg files to launch these planes Below is what the Turbine Duke entries look like (Its from an old guide) https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1618/24287203460_66551b41b8_o.png&key=98ecc847570e0751aa9cc6a4e4f9983b4110bfedf67c04f4b200cb9cc7119ddc Alternatively you can follow Jays fantastic post below and use the new the Add On folder method
June 1, 20179 yr Author I like to keep all my 3rd party add-ons, scenery, mesh, airports located outside of my P3D install folder. I am glad that with the new P3D v4 compatible installers for FSDT products already does this automatically. I hope that the rest of the 3rd party installers will install outside of the P3D folder as LM intended. This would make it much easier to install, upgrade later on. But we will have to wait for them to update their installers. But like the Realair Lancair legacy, how are you suppse to get it to work? II installed it to a folder D:\P3D Addons\ and inside I have simobjects, and a few other folders. How is P3D suppose to know where to look for the plane? I thought the simobjects folder has to remain inside the root P3D folder in order for aircrafts to load properly.
