PrecipitFX does not work on Prepar3D v4

Featured Replies

Installation with VFX Central has been done on Prepar3D v3.4 and v4 with activation code
but the PrecipitFX effects only work on Prepar3D v3.4 while on Prepar3D v4 remain effects
by default. I uninstalled and reinstalled PrecipitFX only on Prepar3d v4 but the effects remain the default ones.

Resolved. On Options Application-Wheather  "Detailed Precipitation" it must be disabled.

I have tried everything to get it to work on AI and no luck. P3d v4 with ut live, ezca, asn. Tried disabling asn, ezca. Tried default AI. Tried special effects high - low. Installed Preciptfx and uninstalled, reinstalled. I give up. Works fine in P3d v3 on same machine. Works fine on user aircraft in v4.

Anybody have any thoughts......

I doubt any of the FSFX products (except ChasePlane) works for Prepar3D V4. Since they've overhauled the lighting and precipitation system, the products; PreciptFX and the Immersion products, need an update to work correcly...

No addin effects regarding P3D V4 natives

No P3D V4 compatibility outside chase

No immersion package for my Pmdg's

Why are you using it ?

FYI.

Re: PrecipitFX issue: it does not search "Documents\Prepared3D v4 Add-ons" folder for aircraft in P3D v4

Which app?

Just wondering, since I have PrecipitFX but havent installed it yet in P3Dv4 (only in earlier versions), will PrecipitFX work with the next P3Dv4 (v4.1) due in two day´s and it´s new "VC Rain"?  Will PrecipitFX work with P3Dv4 (v4.1) and the new TFDi "True Glass" for the 717?

Thank you

Thank you Keven for your prompt reply. Will it also work with the TFDi 717 (True Glass)?

Kevin, do we still have to disabled Detailed Precipitation in the option menu of P3Dv4?
