Yes. I know this is just avoiding the problem instead of solving it. However in the upcoming weeks I plan to format my computer and upgrade to P3D v4.

Still, I have my doubts about the inability of reading the registry (yes, I know that's the error shown by the log). However, I tend to think that if my registry was corrupt, I would not have been able to update the 737-800 and the 777, both of them updated perfectly. Also, I didn't have any previous problems when updating a PMDG product. This is the first time I have an issue like this.

It's not an installer. It's a completely separate process.

...and you're speaking to the guy who wrote it, along with one of our other devs. You're welcome to your own opinion of how the code operates, but, in the end, I'm going to be the one who generally has a better idea of how the thing functions, and what it's capable of / can be hindered by.

If you're going to reformat soon, then I wouldn't bother with it. Just don't install the EMT after formatting.

Same issue here, not sure what EMT is I certainly have never used this tool before.  I'll post the log.

I guess the clue is this line "1208389 is out-dated and must be updated with the full installer".  So I'm downloading the full build from my account now.  I'm assuming once I have updated with the full build the micro update from the OC will work? 

Strange but I thought the OC handled the update process exclusively and I didn't need to download the full build.

Either way is it best practice to uninstall the old version before applying the full build?

The FORBIDDEN error. Submit trouble tickets to PMDG Product Support, maybe they can push an update to your part of the world. Be sure to include information in your ticket regarding your location and internet service provider.

No worries. My fault for not being as clear as I should've been. I could've waited to respond until after I found the specific information for you.

The error in the log shows that there's something preventing access to the file. Are you using any non-windows firewalls? I'm assuming you're in Greece?

i have the same [PMDG2] log errors as kyprianos updating the -600/700.

with or without my a/v and firewall (where 'without' means temporarily uninstalled).

p3d licence, win7 pro, fully updated, located in west oz.
