April 22, 200620 yr I noticed in the patch list it says they fixed the VC lighting at night, can you see backlit gauges or a dome light whenever you want by flipping a switch and is it not tied to landing lights anymore? that was holding me back from buying it
April 22, 200620 yr Flight1's Cessna 441 Conquest II is very clear and adequately functional. My favorite aircraft of them all. I am particularly dissatisfied with Eaglesoft's offerings--to me they are poor quality from a visual clarity standard. I also love and have PMDG's B1900, 737NG & 747s. Even so, for all sorts of cruising all the up to FL35, with decent cruise speeds, the Conquest has been my favorite for about 2 months straight. April 23, 200620 yr but this isnt about what addon "might" in the future have full functionality. this is about what does now.Oh and I forgot one more great company, Carenado! I love their 182RG and the awesome 206.
April 23, 200620 yr Yes, I see individually lit gauges, even the ones on the overhead panel. There's also flod lighting. Looks very nice. Dave Vega dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
April 23, 200620 yr >but this isnt about what addon "might" in the future have>full functionality. this is about what does now.>>Oh and I forgot one more great company, Carenado! I love their>182RG and the awesome 206.this is not a valid argument and ill leave it at that. i don't think the poster asked about "hey guys i want full systems modelling!". he did not. so i don't know sir, why you are missing this part.
April 23, 200620 yr then why would they ask for "preferably a/c that don't even need a 2D panel."?nobody needs to say full functionality to realize the CS is an eye-candy only addon. and the popups in the VC with the captain sim model are annoying and thus do not fall into the no 2d panel category and for no possible reason could be compared to PMDG and LDS quality
April 23, 200620 yr since the V1.1 patch, the pop ups in the VC are gone and functions have been installed...
April 23, 200620 yr sorry to have to ask you that Al, but do you even own it? like the other person said since 1.1 70% of it has been changed. it's not the same cockpit anymore.
April 23, 200620 yr yes I own it but have not kept up with the patches. I will install it and give it a try. Thanksedit: are the landing lights still linked to the VC dome light though?
April 23, 200620 yr >yes I own it but have not kept up with the patches. I will>install it and give it a try. Thanks>>edit: are the landing lights still linked to the VC dome light>though?yes the light logic hasn't changed. though it has been hinted they will fix this at some point. right now there is only the option of lightmaps on and off which apparently are trigerred by any light on the plane...there is a way to remove the secondary cockpit brightening however. but for reference, here we go:img19.imageshack.us/img19/9951/fsscr0417qr.jpgimg78.imageshack.us/img78/2982/fsscr0500af.jpgimg78.imageshack.us/img78/3774/fsscr0524kq.jpg(copy and paste; add http:// in front, i won't img tag them because of size)i can also post screen of the ld and pss7. and pmdg 744.. if someone needs to look at full size screen captures.all taken @ 1600x with 8x AA; haven't tried 16 yet for some reason
April 23, 200620 yr >Yes, I see individually lit gauges, even the ones on the>overhead panel. There's also flod lighting. Looks very nice.> >>Dave VegaWhat about FPS, how is it compared to the others?
April 23, 200620 yr for me, after the patch, the CS757 runs better then the LVD I have installed af far as fps.Of course it doesnt have the avionics the LVD has but before the patch the CS was the worse on fps of all my paywares.
April 24, 200620 yr Here's a pic of some gauges I've re-worked by modeling them in Gmax. I'm getting good clarity and great smoothness. This plane is intended to be flown from the VC, since the panel is basic VFR. It will use a pop-up GPS for navigation.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/147737.jpgSee the project here:http://home.nethere.com/kerr/t-18.htmRobert Best Regards,Robert Kerr 3D Modeler & Texture Artist
April 24, 200620 yr The Aeroworx B200 is the most flyable VC I have. The lighting is very good. It seems to overcome the shading problem that's inbuilt into FS9. Completely flyable from the VC.Dave Maltby's BAC 1-11 is excellent, apart from the night lighting which is being rectified. It's a beautiful aircraft and free (or donation).LVLD767 is excellent. I like the popup FMS although I could live without the popup radios. Not all radios are functional in the VC. (I don't own PMDG 744). F1 ATR also has a great VC, but sometimes it's a little dark. Still the VC with FS2Crew is an amazing combination.Mike
