Seems to be a popular issue on there forums. As we've said multiple times, our aircraft is not the only one with these issues. We've brought these up to the Prepar3D team a number of times and are waiting on a patch. Brandon Filer

I understand your awaiting patches that may or may not fix this bug but when asked about the other references on your forum it was stated that the post were on Facebook Groups somewhere and not developer web sites but you guys don’t have the link or deleted the example. Also the black out displays have been happening on P3Dv3.3, 3.4, 4.0 and 4.1 so waiting for a LM fix is going to fix it how when it effects the 32 bit and 64 bit. The first reported issues was with 3.3 “Displays going black during flight” on June 9. Not trying to argue but this has been happening since June and we still are awaiting this patch for v3 and v4 from LM. Alright, since I get the feeling you don't believe us: Source: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2168085150089336&set=p.2168085150089336&type=1&theater The issue is not with the displays blacking out per se, but rather with scenery textures showing on virtual cockpit surfaces. You'll find it can be grass, trees, ocean, and more showing up. When the displays appear black, it's because a texture with little content (ex. a black self illumination texture with no lights on it) is being displayed. This has been a long time issue and we've been pushing for it to get fixed, but it takes time to get issues through to the Lockheed Martin team. Brandon Filer
January 1, 20188 yr Thanks guys for providing the information. Looks like LM has not just v3x but 4x to patch. Lets hope this gets resolved soon because when the 717 works, its a joy to fly. Myself and many others would like to land from the Captains chair from time to time. You see, I am quite sure nobody suspected TFDi of lying. You seem to be serious people, so there would be no reason for that. The problem is users are not able to compare the issue to other aircraft they own. And, as such, the problem did not change. In your forum I mentioned a few times I also fly other complex aircraft (FSL A320, NGX, Q400) and do not ever have the problem. Many other posters stated the same. Which means there is something behind TFDi 717 which makes it suffer the issue which, as you write, comes from Prepar3D itself. That's it from a user's point of view. I too haven't been able to finish a single 717 flight with displays on. Now I hope for two things: LM getting rid of their issue, but also you finding a reason why the 717 itself hates the issue so much. Wishing you all the best with this add-on which really is a great little piece of software apart from the fact some of us cannot enjoy it.
January 2, 20188 yr Sadly I can't get the add-on manager to update. I deleted the add-on manager hoping that would cause me to be able to download the new one but seemed to aggravate the problem. That's what happens when you screw with something without knowing what you're doing. My ticket has been elevated to the technical team for a solution. Hoping they'll find one. I feel they will as they seem to be an exceptional group of people and I hate to be excluded from the customer base because of a technical issue. Vic green
