January 30, 20188 yr Michael, first of all, thanks for sharing your experience and quite insightful view of this product ! It scared me when you mentioned you had an old system, because here I have an i5 2500 @ 3,3 Ghz and GTX 960 4 GB GPU :-) I believe running this Airbus in it would be a bit of a disappointment :-/ Anyway, nice to know things are progressing in XP's airliner world :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

There‘s one very important point, regarding the performance: I use ortho photo scenery exclusively, with ZL17 for Germany, and as high as 19 around the major citys (like Stuttgart or Hamburg). Add the detailed payware scenery to that, and you’ll get the picture. I placed the Airbus onto MisterX6‘s KSFO (I have ZL 16 for the most part of the USA), and I had 35 fps at the gate, and 40 fps after rotation. It’s certainly more demanding than the IXEG, but it’s still very smooth.
January 30, 20188 yr I do not have the IXEG737 or the RotateMD80, only the FlightFactor Boeings 757&767 to compare to. But I found the A320U to have slightly better performance than those two on my system, so it exceeded my expectations in that regard. (i7-4770k @ 3,6; GTX 1070, 16GB Ram)

(i7-4770k @ 3,6; GTX 1070, 16GB Ram) You have the newer and better processor. For me, the FF 757 and 767 perform only slightly worse than the IXEG, and better than the A320U. But as I stated above, that’s all with some heavy ortho photo usage. And even though the framerate might drop to 22, 21 occasionally, it’s still very smooth and the FBW is extremely fluid! Bravo, FlightFactor! ;-)
January 30, 20188 yr Michael, thanks for sharing your first impressions on the A320U. Very much appreciated. Hearing your thoughts on it is more credible than from some other random user. I‘m really looking forward to buying this add-on! [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE

It´s great to read that my output does help a bit! ;-) I don´t think, that we´re too far away from official release, but that´s just a personal guess. There are a few things, that won´t be implememted for the release, as far as I understand, but will find their way into the product a little later, with furher updates. The most prominent ones (again, for me personally) would be holding patterns, wx radar and the ability to assign different functions like the takeover buton on the sidestick, etc. Other than that, it´s in a very complete, consistent and stable state for a beta!
January 30, 20188 yr I like the exterior - alot! But I am somewhat "meh" over the cockpit ambiance. For some reason the color of the panels are off? Looks like the same color as default 737NG in FSX. I have no idea what the color code(s) are for the airbus (FF could ask Sirio Panel or Hutchinson I suppose and ask nicely ;) ) What software REV is modelled in this bus, S4 or S7? (maybe the question should be Honeywell Pegasus or Thales?) Edit: noticed on your screenshots it seems to be Thales I have Xp11 installed (use it for Rotate MD80 primarily. ) As an owner of the FSL A320, what would be the point for me to purchase the FF A320. I'm not a die-hard busdriver like yourself, but I do enjoy a good addon as much as anybody. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and story EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12

The color of the textures varies quite dramatically with different light situations. In my opinion, they look pretty spot on. The displays are very realistic, concerning their colours and the used fonts! The whole look and feel of this virtual flight deck is outstandingly good. It looks like a Thales EIS 2 /S7 (or S8) to me, not sure. ;-) But it is much quicker, concerning its reaction time, compared to the FS Labs version I have in P3Dv3 (not the most recent one). It’s a real joy to use!
