May 19, 200620 yr Is anyone using Ready for Pushback's 747 panel with Aerosim's 747 models? Which model do you think is better, Aerosim or RFP? I know RFP has the best classic 747 panel out there, but I also want the best looking 747 visual model as well. Suggestions are welcomed!
May 19, 200620 yr The RFP 747 is not supposed to work with other models, as there is code that checks for certain files. Graeme Butler
May 19, 200620 yr >Thats too bad because the RFP model isnt the greatest.Well, buying RFP for the model would be like hiring Paris Hilton to discuss the latest trends in linguistic philosophy. :-lol ricardo
May 19, 200620 yr Author I use the POSKy model with the RFP V2 panel/airfile ...and to this day is still one of my all time favourite aircraft to fly! :I would really like a new 742/743 model with the new XML animations...preferably made by Missi but I believe POSKy would be up to the job. :-hahYou can find the info for the POSKy/RFPv2 merge here: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchI have not merged the Aerosim model myself but you might like to try it ...in short use the RFP airfile and cfg, put a RFP model in your Aerosim model folder (this is your key) and adjust your gear contact points and lights section.Good luck :) regardsEd My FS9 Videoshttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/edetroit100/holy.gifAMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1024Mb PC3200 DDR, 300Gb HD 256Mb DDR Nvidia 7800 GTX PCI-E, Audigy 2 ZSCH Products Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quadrant My FS Videos

May 19, 200620 yr Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'm thinking about getting the Aerosim 747s and trying to merge them with the RFP panel. I think it would make a great combo.
May 19, 200620 yr If you are flying the RFP properly you shouldn't even have time to worry about the external model. You should be concentrating on the job. ;)

She's a full blown simulation of a 742 after all.
May 19, 200620 yr Author Dear John, there are all types of simmers... i am one who is very familiar with RFP's systems and find her a stressless pleasure to fly (I find the PT TU-154 needs more concentration) ...what I am saying is I have plenty of time to enjoy a nice exterior model model during the flight (if there is one) :)I can only presume I have put hundreds of hours into into my many different RFP (and improved IMHO) 742 panel config edits because I love it. :) The RFP model is not so bad anyway ..but there is absolutely no way you would ever see my flying the Feelthere 733 model no matter how accurate the systems are! :-lol ...but you still can fly the FT ..jus dump the model ..isn't freedom of choice great! :) regardsEd My FS9 Videoshttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/edetroit100/holy.gifAMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1024Mb PC3200 DDR, 300Gb HD 256Mb DDR Nvidia 7800 GTX PCI-E, Audigy 2 ZSCH Products Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quadrant My FS Videos

Why not use an FS98 external model? http://www.commerciallevel.com/base/suppor...46supporter.jpg
May 19, 200620 yr Author Thankyou Misha, spot on as usual. :)point being ..different simmers like different things ..just enjoy what you do. :) regardsEd My FS9 Videoshttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/edetroit100/holy.gifAMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1024Mb PC3200 DDR, 300Gb HD 256Mb DDR Nvidia 7800 GTX PCI-E, Audigy 2 ZSCH Products Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quadrant My FS Videos
