PMDG adds entries to the dll.xml file make sure they are there and that is it - David Lee

I did before the update from PMDG in 4.2, but it’s gone now that I applied the update.

I still have the CTD even with the update, I'll narrow down what's causing the CTD on my end.

I installed p3dv4.2 then i updated pmdg747 in the op center but i still get ctd when installing aircraft.....

i just tried a suggestion on the forum when i load p3d with f22 raptor then when the sim loaded change the vehicle to pmdg everythings working fine but other wise when i load the sim with the selected aircraft as pmdg 747 i always have a ctd... and the error is application hang

Have you checked your OC to see if it has an update for your QOTSII?  Oops, I read back a few posts and realized last post is incomplete picture. Odds are that the update is failing.  Do you have antivirus software?

I encourage you to start your own thread describing your problem instead of posting to a update realease notification that already has so many separate issues posted to it.

Just bought this bird the other night.  Fully up2date to v3.0.8605 (& P3Dv4.2).  Started the sim and selected the Queen on the scenario page to start my flight.  Everything seem to be running well.  Noticed the "FMC Message" notification on the display but nothing on the FMC.  Googled it and found people having issues with the Cold and Dark panel state config that came with it.  Recommend creating your own.  That was fine.  Would do it before the next flight.

4hrs into the 6hr 30min flight and POOF!  CTD.  First time in a very long time I've had one of these using a PMDG aircraft.  I'm assuming I should be starting up with the F22 first at the airport than switch over the Queen when I want to use this bird?  I guess I should of read these forums before flying this bird...  Seems to be a little problematic compared to the others.

Actually  this is  stated  in the introduction  manuals that  comes  with the pmdg   aircraft,  that  you  shouldn't  have  a payware  aircraft   as  your load  up  aircraft just because  you  don't  have  any other  issues with  the others that  you havn't  noticed  yet

***Update:  Still get that "FMC Message" after creating my own cold and dark panel state.  Weird.

I have reinstalled the p3d to the 4.2 , I have reinstalled the PMDG 747V3
And I performed the update he requested from PMDG CENTER.

Wing light (only in view of the wing without the aircraft's engines)
I have no nav light and Strobe  light NAV.

It's only on the 747 the 737 and the 777 does not have the problem.

Reinstall the 747 ?

Hi!

I switched from P3D4.1 to 4.2. After now using the lastet updated PMDG 744 version for P3D4.2 I have an annoying MASTER CAUTION right during every engine start! Worst is you cannot clear the illuminated yellow "CAUTION" button. This appeared already with the updated version for P3D3.4.22 here, what made me revert back to my older original Version for P3D3.4.22 then (kicking the update...) - and I then had never any issues with the 744 again.

In P3D4.1 I had never any issues with the 744 anyway - so I regret now that I changed to 4.2. As I understand the latest 744 version is needed there. Unfortunately it is not only the "CAUTION" burning all flight long, but is also a weird message appearing now regularly on the ECAM: white letters "HYD_RSVR_PRESS 2". And again you cannnot clear it from the ECAM. It remains on the whole flight, regardless what I do. I disbaled all PMDG failures, cleared them all... no effect. This was never the case before, even in P3D3.4.22 when I had the "CAUTION" issue after that certain update for PMDG 744 I never had this message.

I do not change anything in my start-up procedure or handling / flying the bird. I am handling all procedures quite normal as ever... so I am afraid this must be a bug. Actually I am really thinking it over to convert back to P3D4.1 cause there were for me no issues, neither with the 744 nor the 738... now I have with nearly all sophisticated jets in 4.2 (PMDG 744, PMDG 738, FSLabs A320) more or less some issues.

Hope there will be an update for the 744 soon!
