Recommended Posts

As per their Facebook page.  Exciting, the additional previews they've posted look great.

Looks amazing! Well done, FlyTampa.

Wonding if it's possible for them, to port it back to FSX?

Not likely...back in July, FlyTampa was one of the devs that jointly announced they would be developing only for 64-bit P3D in the future:

Yearh - I know that... personally I don't mind, since I don't use any of the legacy platforms, but there's been quite a discussion on their forums regarding if KBOS and KLAS would fall under 'future products'.

I have my doubts, that they will take the time of converting them for FSX - especially since they've utilized many of the new enhancements and features of Prepar3D V4.

Best regards,

Great news! I shall be ordering it as soon as it is available.

I feel that it is time to forget the small markets remaining for FS9, FSX and P3Dv3 products:biggrin:

I would like concentration on XPlane 11 and P3Dv4 from now on.

Fly Tampa's KBOS for FSX already exists. It was updated in 2009 and works great in FSX. The new version is made to conform with the P3DV4 SDK. I doubt it will be backward compatable.

Is that default scenery that I see close to the runway threshold in that last screenshot on the Boston Logan Rebooted forum thread? I would have expected any areas close to the runway to have been replaced with photoreal textures and detailed scenery.....

Yep, it appears to be default scenery.

However, as I own Aerosoft US Cities X - Boston, I'm glad that FlyTampa's textures end at the airfield's perimeter as this area is already covered.
On some occasions I've found textures from the airfield developer mismatch, clash or be of a much lower quality compared with existing ORBX or photo scenery outside of the airport which looks terrible on the approach.
Or worse still, doesn't work at all.

Fingers crossed now that US Cities X - Boston is compatible with FT's KBOS.

Does anyone know why FlyTampa is so hard set against SODE jetways? I tried searching their forum but I just see a bunch of people asking the same question but with no real answer.

Still, I'm sure I'll buy this.
