Has anyone found their house yet?  Cuz flightsimmers have waited for this day for as long as I have simmed.

I expect to be able to see my house in TrueEarth England, walk inside it in Avatar mode, and see myself sat in front of my PC!!

Christopher,

That's great!

Then you can open up your virtual PC and swap in new virtual 2T SSD's in order to contain it all!

You have finally arrived by coming to where you are at!

Kind regards,

You're in the matrix

I flew over my house in FS9 in VFR scenery more than 10 years ago.

I won't be able to see my own house because the kind of house I life in (as does approx. 40% of all Dutch people) isn't modelled. Every house is modelled as a separate building. Not really matching Dutch reality. 40% live in 'rijtjeshuizen' (terrace or row houses) and you won't be able to see a single one of them. But well, as long as I don't fly near my hometown I probably won't notice it that much. Slightly disappointing though. Even though this scenery obviously clearly beats default landclass scenery.

So we are not quite yet at the apex of flightsimming.

Looking forward to seeing how long all details take to fully draw when using faster aircraft like jets, compared to small general aviation.  I left it installing as I left for work and can't wait to experience it tonight.

I just realised that I don't have enough available space for  this lovely country on my SSD, so it's forced my hand to purchase a 2TB SSD.  Ca't wait to see the summer tulip fields

Are those Hybrid drives worth the extra cost over standard hard drives?

Haha, well, TrueEarth is awesome of course but I am just disappointed my kind of house (and the one of some 6 million other people) isn't modelled. Maybe my expectations were too high (although in the beginning it was mentioned that of course these kind of houses would be modelled...)

So this is the equivalent of VFR Scene like PACA?

But you can see your road - and therefore your approximate geographical location.

This is the kind of thing that'll get  non-simming folks to pay attention
