Tutorial #2 goes through a bunch of it. Quite a lot of exactly what you've requested, actually. Always look under your nose first.

The best source is the FCOM, there is a lot of information there and at first it seems like drinking from a fire hydrant but just like eating an elephant you can take it one bite at a time.  The Tutorial is a good place to start, and I recommend using both the Tutorial and FCOM side by side, looking up things mentioned by the Tutorial in the FCOM so you know where to find that information.

I wouldn't suggest a video done by some guy that might know more than you but nevertheless is not a reliable source.  The source is the FCOM, you have it so use it.

And after you mastered FCOM and Tut#2, here are some nice vid's with more tips & tricks.

Enjoy ...

There is also FMS CDU Exercises Part 2 on his channel;-).

Yes, for B744, but many (not all) are applicable for B737 and vice-versa

There are probably 15 different videos on Youtube covering the NGX FMS in different stages of flight.

Had a nice flight yesterday. Got to top of climb, started entering all the waypoint winds to make the timing more accurate, and halfway through the CDU froze up.

Never had that before. " Datalink Fail" message bottom right.

Never unfroze for the next three hours to Dalaman but FMC was working OK. Good job I wasn't flying with a cadet.... the blank screen would throw them completely!
