I'm using autostar with the latest catalogue from the Naval Observatory without any issues.  The stars look pretty close to me, but what do I know I was trained in the military. I did try cel nav a little in the R4D, but wasn't real good at it.  My calculations had us in Texas which was correct.  ROFL

Thank you James & Kurt ❤️

James i'm sorry this fallen out for you 😞
we are a small "family" oriented community; we cannot exceed the normal costs framework,
the support package we add is what actually helps support us as a small studio in the long run,
our goal is to keep being there for everyone; with our low published prices that little bit helps!

we have to somehow supplement our low sale prices,
the good old days of free internet are gone while we are left with hefty bills these days to run even a small studio like ours that customers can relay on,

for all the DIY trolls out there...

i am as much as a DIY as the next guy!
with one HUGE difference... i put my time into good healthy use!

its true! there's nothing on this planet you cannot do with your own mind and two hands another person did before you!
butt... there comes a point in life where you understand that just because you can; doesn't mean you have to do everything yourself!
some of us work very hard and value our limited time on this planet more than a DIY savings!

Useful info, although sadly I'm still in the stone age with v3. So I'll give Autostarx a try in the interim.

That said I certainly wouldn't be buying any add-on with a recurring payment when I make the jump to v4..

@Gazzareth
WOW... just WOW!
before you invest in any addon you should consider upgrading to v4!

you're on Flintstone stone age area there!
seriously! everyone stopped paddling with their feet a long time ago

apologies for the unintentional hijack Gerard 💐

Lol, only get add-ons that are v4 compatible now, but until there are any decent modern bizjets available for v4 then I'll stick with v3.

I'm using autostar

It is available in the AVSIM Library - Just search "autostar".  The author is Chris Wright.

The program has a lot of power.  The database included is certainly adequate for FS use.  It works great in P3dv4.

Isn't there some hiccup when  installing it with W10 or something like that?

I'm running it with Win10-64 and P3dv4 with no problems.

why dont you open your own thread discussing your DIY project?
instead of your rude and blunt disregard to the topic author or the merits of this topic!

you are that tactless guy who has to ask how much was that car?
and than say... ooh i could have got you a better deal! aren't you!?

you have not used our work to have a leg to stand on comparing to your DIY project!
you're misleading people to an old unsupported project that will mess up their sim,

bravo to you for getting it to work on your system!
as suggested go open your own thread instead of hijacking someone else with your ill advised opinion!

I am still using P3D v3.4. I will upgrade to the 64bit version of P3D when I buy a new PC, and that will only happen when the ORBx TrueEarth UK and Ireland packages are available (and a 64bit version of Aerosoft Dublin). In other words, when I decide to make the jump, I want the power and the scenery to do it justice.

I think you have made your point!  Please start your own topic about the product you like.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

@Christopher Low

that's a long list of dependencies for enjoying P3D v4 now!
why cant you be flying the latest which i can tell you first hand out performs anything we had before!

what happens if one those take a year or two or more!?
such a shame you have to wait for all these to break free from 32bit choke collar,
if you only know what i am running on an old laptop with v4 you'd be banging your head against the wall for not moving over

(the YouTube video i posted earlier is on a laptop with v4!
the complete flight also posted in normal speed on YouTube; its an hour long!!!),

i get being loyal to your aircraft; but waiting on scenery... 😮
you could be enjoying all your current addons ten folds in the meanwhile 😉

not upgrading to v4 should be made illegal! 😛
