June 28, 20187 yr Ever after I updated to P3Dv4.3 I notice that loading of photo scenery takes almost double the time that it used to take in P3Dv4.2. Am I the only who is experiencing this? I wonder if there are ways to prevent these long loading times. (Yes, I know, disable all photo scenery, but that's not the solution I am looking for :) ) Kind regards, Hans van WIjhe Acer Predator P03-640 2.10 Ghz Intel 12th Gen Core 17-12700F 64GB memory, Noctua NH-U9S Cooler, 1.02 TB SSD HD, 1.02 TB HD, NVidia Geforce RTX 3070 16GB Memory, Windows 11 (x64)
June 28, 20187 yr Yes I notice in general that it's taking longer than expected to load than 4.2. Not really a problem on an SSD though. :) Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry. Perhaps so, it seems to look "crispier" as in P3Dv4.2. I am just curious if I am the only experiencing this. June 28, 20187 yr Yeah I had blurry photo scenery in 4.1 when at altitude, hopefully this has been fixed. Also it could be you have the "Detail Terrain Textures" ticked now whereas previously you didn't; that adds a lot to loading time but the sim looks much better for it! ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
June 28, 20187 yr In 4.2 there was a lot of blurred zones on ground surfaces, perhaps now in 4.3 the pre-downloading is most important to avoid this problem... Just a suggestion to explain this long waiting.

Nope, high-resolution terrain textures is off. Bus as the other say, the photoscenery seem to be a lot sharper. Thanks.
