Featured Replies

Hi

I folow the pmdg737ngx tutorial/

Its a great step by step tutorial but it only configure the FMS without explantion about the engine start process.

I learn that I can load the FMS without grandpower or battary on. but when I try to load the FMS to configure the flight plane, it block me from do it. and the ND where off and not like it needful (tutorial instruction)

What exactly in the  "engine start process" do you need to be explained?
If you hold or long press the " MENU " button on the FMC, the FMC will turn  on,  even without ground power or battery on.  Remember you will not be able to fully use the FMC if you haven't aligned your IRS ( To align the IRS, you need to have the battery turned on ). Take a look at the upper overhead - When you have battery on , turn the L IRS knob to from OFF position to NAV , do the same with the right IRS knob. Image result for upper overhead panel pmdg

check the  location of  where   you have  it  installed  the  pmdg  737 ngx   folder  and  all the  docs  will  be  there,   pmdg  requires  you  to add  your  full name  to  all  your  posts  or  risk  your  posts  being  deleted.

This isn’t the PMDG forum so names are not required.

There are not in the folder.

I searched this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\Flight Manuals

but I have only 3 documents: Introduction, Tutorial 1 and Tutorial 2.

You are correct the FCOM Vol 1 and 2, the Flight Crew Training Manual, and the Quick Reference Handbook evidently does not come with the Steam version of FSX-SE.  You might go to the PMDG website and submit a trouble ticket and ask for a copy.  I did a search on the Internet for the documents and it appears this issue was brought up before but I do not see any remediation.  The PMDG 737 for P3Dv4 shows the manuals you referenced plus the ones I referenced.  It is possible the products were not installed when you installed the PMDG 737 for FSX-SE.  You can try a repair install or, like I said, submit a trouble ticket.  The products that come with the PMDG 737 for FSX-SE must come from PMDG via their website or the installation as it is part of the installer used to install the product.

I should add you can go to the PMDG 737 Forum hosted here at AVSIM and ask the question to the PMDG support personnel who moderate those forums.  Might save you from having to submit a trouble ticket.

I ve visited the PMDG forum jere in AVSIM, but there is no accurate help in my case, so I opened a support ticket to PMDG and i have received the following answer:

"With each PMDG product, we include a comprehensive tutorial that will teach you how to operate the airplane as is typically done by a modern flight crew.  In the past we have had the opportunity to provide actual technical manuals in addition to the operational tutorial.  We are currently negotiating to renew our license for this additional information and hope to be able to do so again in the near future.   Many users may find various manuals freely available through many sites on the internet."

Iam asking from you guys, members of the AVSIM, is it possible to share these docs who already have them?

According to the PMDG FCOM:

Copyright Information

"Boeing claims copyright in each page of this document only to the extent that the page contains copyrightable subject matter. Boeing also claims copyright in this document as a compilation and/or collective work. The right to reproduce, distribute, display, and make derivative works from this document, or any portion thereof, requires a license from Boeing. For more information, contact The Boeing Company, P.O. Box 3707, Seattle, Washington 98124.
Boeing, the Boeing signature, the Boeing logo, 707, 717, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, 787, BBJ, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, MD-10, MD-11, MD-80, MD-88 and MD-90 and the Boeing livery are all trademarks of The Boeing Company. No trademark license is granted in connection with this document unless provided in writing by Boeing"
So, no, it cannot be freely distributed or shared.  I might add, the 737 FCOM has not been changed by PMDG in any manner so, it is the same document Boeing provides to all airlines.

Does this mean if we do a reinstall of our previously purchased PMDG products we lose the manuals? If so how is this as we paid for these on the advertised advice that they were supplied with the copies of the Boeing Manuals, a key buying feature separating them from other products?
