FSElite.net posted a link to his twitch stream from Saturday. He went a bit more into detail there

Gotcha, I’ll have to check it out, I watched both Matt and Nico on twitch every now and again and never knew they were “in business” together.

He would frequently get inebriated on his Twitch stream and talk about his financial success. He did this same yo-yo with his Youtube and all the while took donations and collected money without investing in his semi-legitimate business. His fans ate it up.

I never really understood this money thing and twitch..I don’t Sub/donate to anyone on twitch and never will, but to each their own I guess.

Just curious, But how do you know all this? Was it mentioned somewhere?

His full name is Nicolas Lumermann. According to FINRA he’s with Morgan Stanley. His wife is an attorney in NYC as well, so it makes sense that they are swimming in cash and has a full cockpit sim in a Manhattan condo.

I’m with you there. I have absolutely no desire to watch people, or self proclaimed experts, on YouTube, twitch (whatever that is) or other “streams” talking about sim stuff. Even less to donate money to them.

As you say, to each there own.

I stopped listening to Matt Davies years ago when I realized he was incapable of following through with any of his stated goals/'promises.'  I suspect the genesis of my disinterest is generational; my farther always taught me to 'say what you mean and mean what you say.'  I have little time for people who fail to live up to their promises.  This statement does not apply to Davies as a person; instead, it's limited to his acuity as a manager/proprietor of flight sim software/content.  As other posters have stated, we've seen this 'act' before from Mr. Davies.  Again, I will make no statements regarding his character; after all, I don't know the man...he could be a great guy.  Yet, he appears to be ill-equipped to run anything; to that end, I prefer to invest my time and money with people with proven track records. Having said that, I hope he's able to find success, and more importantly, happiness.  Although, I'm sure he'll be back...

He seems to over promise and under deliver.

If you want to be successful and make money that is what you have to do in any and every business. If you are under promising and over delivering, stop that now or you will fail!

Another unqualified moron

I'm still struggling with how he  went from being up on stage in Cosford talking about all the projects being delivered and mapping out the future,  to this plane crash two weeks later.

As sad as this all is, he has really done permanent damage to his reputation as people won't  trust him again with any business venture. It has been a repetitive cycle with Matt - over-promising when filled with enthusiasm on stream - only to be confronted by reality two weeks later.

If it's quiet in work on nights  I've put the streams on the big screens in OCC to show the qualified engineers, flightplanners, crewing officers and ops controller, sometimes to 10 or so of us to which you normally get 'make sure that word not allowed never applies here will you pete ' to a few off them.  Normally is the ones wearing stupid glasses or aviator sunglasses. The few people like that blackbox qualied airbus bloke we like him, but even that other Ryanair pilot is a knob at times.

I know but most of us don't post streams claiming we are experts when most of us are not.  I know a alot about dispatch but I still cant fly a jet for toffees

You only get it in this hooby.  You never get someone telling a doctor how to cut people open but in the flightsim community you get radio djs and computer programmers thinking they have JAA dispatcher certification or cpls when have neither

I've said before I think he's got the accumen to do well, but he's just gone about it the wrong way, wearing stupid judges hats on streams and all that word not allowed

Most people on Twitch streams have no clue what they are doing.  That's for sure.  But, in his defense, Matt actually did at least know how to fly an aircraft (within the context of a sim)

I have no idea why most people think their flying is watchable on stream.  Most seem to want to be comedians with overly contrived stupidity and histrionics which has all just become annoying.

I agree I liked his Youtube dangerous approach videos. It's the lulz, lols, and rips and all that pish I can't stand.

Id love all these experts to spend a day in OCC with me, I'd make them look stupid in a matter of minutes and the engineers would kill them probably before the day was out

At easyJet they used to do a captains leadership course where they had to spend time in OCC with us.. They used to come out with 'wow' written all over them... That was captains!!

And in my current job nearly every visater says ' I don't know you do it' yet radio djs seem to belive they know it all inside and out
