November 20, 20187 yr Hi Simbol, thanks for asking. I didn't have much time yet to try fixes. So far, I only tried to reinstall UTL, and to remove the TG airplane libraries using SimStarter. The next step will probably deleting scenery.cfg. Once I am out of ideas I will know better what to ask specifically. Best, Peter

Best, Peter Peter, Just check that the traffic files from TG have been actually removed from your system, check also that any add-on.xml inside your Documents\P3D Add-on\ is not having any reference to TG traffic files or others. Finally open your Scenery.cfg file and check that nothing there referring to TG is there. Hopefully that will find you the culprit, don't blame TG for what just happened, remember this is an early access version (AKA Open Beta) so clearly the software has faults, the uninstaller might be faulty. I wonder if anybody else is able to replicate your problem and if this has been reported to JF. November 21, 20187 yr Hi Simbol, thanks for your suggestions. I was able to fix it by removing a second entry from addons.cfg. In my first attempt, I only removed one of the two entries. Certainly not a big problem for early release software, but it nevertheless adds to the negative experience I had with Traffic Global. Best regards, Peter

Best regards, Peter Peter, This is what happens with early releases or open beta software, you were basically a beta tester that gave money to the developer. You should report the bug with the uninstaller, they might fix it for others. Regards Simbol Oficial Website: https://www.FSReborn.com Discord Channel: https://discord.gg/XC82TqvKQ3
November 21, 20187 yr Yup, I think it's as well to be aware that it's a bit of a deal with the devil buying a beta. You get it cheaper, but you're gonna be taking the rough for a while before you take the smooth. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
November 21, 20187 yr I have been using TG since the day of release and have been tweaking and testing and I am now enjoying the program, it is heavily dependent on the AFCAD files and some airport that have flight plans are using the default base AFCAD, starting in Europe I have been editing CAD files to make them more TG friendly that have traffic in the main database and I have done the US, the result is more go arounds as the sky's have more traffic and my addon airport have more inbound traffic. It is still early access and needs more work but I think JF will get there in the end. I cannot show a screenshot as for some time I have been unable to post links or anything on the Avsim forum, I have not changed my setting so I assume I am banned form doing so sorry. November 21, 20187 yr I cannot copy and past anything on this forum I have an imgur account and do post on TG support forum to try to help others having problems, by showing links to screenshots to show what they should see and a install and uninstall walkthrough. and help with ADE for users trying it for the first time. Hi Simbol, of course. I am neither surprised nor complaining about bugs in an early access program. What I am disappointed of is the lack of progress and support for TG. I don't do early access with smaller companies where the risk that a project stalls cannot be estimated, but I did not expect that JustFlight would neglect their products and customers. Peter
November 21, 20187 yr Moderator Peter, I don’t know if it was you that posted the question on the JF forum on how to uninstall TG but I see it has remained unanswered. That to me sends out warning signs. And I agree with Chock that what is being sold is beta software, not “early release”. Asking customers to pay only slightly less for a program still being developed seems a bit cheeky. I’ve been on beta teams and you get a free copy and sign an NDA. JF seem to have too many ongoing projects and not enough staff to support them. Ray (Cheshire, England). I have asked some questions in the early access forum that would have been easy to answer (e.g.: is there a file/data sharing area where early adopters can share their flight plans) but never got a response. The same happened to many other users. I therefore deem it pointless to ask questions or report problems there. Peter

Peter You are correct at the present time, but until full release like other programs file sharing will likely take place we are on a site now were this takes place in the file library's, AFCAD`s for AI programs are sheared there. November 21, 20187 yr Author Just chiming back in here as the OP. Thanks to everybody for their contributions to this lively debate. I can see that the debate has also continued over on the TG early access forum. The level and passion of debate in itself is testament to the devotion of flight sim enthusiasts worldwide. Since originally starting this thread I have actually uninstalled TG. This wasn't particularly straightforward as (even using the TG uninstall method) bits of it were left behind to the extent that P3D would not start afterwards. Ultimately not too much of an issue though as I found a solution to that elsewhere on the (actually brilliant) avsim forum. Since uninstalling TG I installed UTL and made a few livery updates with FLAI - I am very happy with the results. I mainly fly in and around Japan and am very impressed with the traffic levels (set at 75% for me to achieve optimum results) on the ground and in the air. With the few livery tweaks I made, I am also seeing all of the local carriers that one experiences when flying around the Japanese archipelago, which was one of my goals. My FPS are pretty much identical to TG too so all good. I note that the TG dev has popped back up to indicate that it should be finished '[...] early next year'. I'll be interested to see what it looks like when that happens, but for now I have my AI needs fulfilled with UTL. One odd thing that did happen though. I noticed that a fair amount of callsigns were missing with UTL. I ran Editvoicepack XL but actually ended up with even less callsigns - not sure what would be driving that. I may actually give the pubic beta of this a try. It promises to inject all of the FLAI liveries into UTL, and may solve the missing callsigns issue too. Not sure if anybody else has experienced this issue. I'm Windows 10 home edition, and P3D v4.3. Thanks again folks! Tim
