>somewhere on this forum...It was more rumor than>anything...but hey, if rumor is all that I have got...I will>believe it until I hear otherwise! :)I've never really kept track, but I seem to recall them releasing all sorts of things all throughout the week (weekends included). I'm not sure how much that applies to betas, like I said, I don't remember specific instances, but I've certainly never seen anything written or posted or anything that suggests that it's not their policy to release betas on the weekends.

yeah, there is always hope that they will. Oh how it would be nice to have the whole weekend to try out the whole sim.

>Oh how it would be nice to have the whole weekend to try out the whole sim.Don't you mean TEST the new sim? You are aware it's an unfinsihed product and if you're in the beta, you're (quotefingers)supposed(/quotefingers) to test it... ;)

Yeah, "this crowd" is mean. Be nice to microsoft, for they didn't have to do this for us at all.

yeah, try, test, same thing.almost midnight friday and no word....oh well...theres always next week and the week after that and so forth and so on....

Perhaps they just can't get round the difficulty of doing a 9GB download. :-(

They'll find a way, hopefully.

what's so difficult with doing a 9GB download?very very easy to split it up using winrar. how about spliting it up in 50MB chunks of winrar files? then you get i.e: fsx_beta.r01,fsx_beta.r02 and so on. Jan Roar Roed

Well it can't be that easy or it wouldn't have taken them at least a week to sort it out.

I think it would have been better and faster to have shipped the beta on DVD to selected beta testers; we would pay for shipping and be done with.9 GB, even with premium broadband, is going to take most of us better part of a full day to download.Just my two cents worth on the matter.

IS it too late to register now?:)Manny
