August 22, 200619 yr >Finally we get some news on the BETA. Tdragger has just>updated his blog with a very informative article. Thank you,>Mike!>>It looks like it is still hope for all of us ;-) Have a read:>>http://blogs.msdn.com/tdragger/archive/200...6.aspx#comments>>:-) >>>Raymond>Norway Well, there we go. Now we know. And knowing is half the battle.
August 22, 200619 yr Wow, that is quite the relief. I'm happy that they put newer code into the beta as well.:)
August 22, 200619 yr I am happy Tdragger updated his blog with a logical explaination!!I kind of felt like I was being a bit hostile towards this issue. However aviation and flightsimming is a real passion of mine and when I was not getting any news I was getting very frustrated over it. Perhaps I sounded a bit more frustrated in words then I really was (I am not that bad and I do have a life :-lol )!!! Just imagine buying tickets to Hawaii and then arriving at the airport and the flight is canceled. Thats how I felt!!Anyways we got what we wanted to hear and sounds like the goods will be delivered in time. Probably going to be well worth the wait as well. I would rather wait and get a bug free version then get one early that does not work correctly. That would be worse then the delay in reality. I think its time for this thread to be closed and it can fade away piecefully!!
August 22, 200619 yr I wouldn't count on it being bug free. It should be enjoyable though since they have fixed the blurry problem, I wonder if they fixed the car chassis problem. I guess we'll see and thank you Mike for clarifying the situation for us.;-)
August 22, 200619 yr That wasn't a "problem". Mike said(in his blog) that they kept out the rest of the car parts due to file size.
August 22, 200619 yr And, to be *totally* truthful, the big blurries fix that Paul talks about on his blog didn't make it into the FP beta version. :(
August 22, 200619 yr >And, to be *totally* truthful, the big blurries fix that Paul>talks about on his blog didn't make it into the FP beta>version. :(I really feel for the guys at ACE/Microsoft, I can not imagine the stress the team must be under to make the retail release date, bug free!Again, I truly wish ACE/Microsoft well, as their success will be every hard core simmers success. It is always quicker and easier to wrongly judge some one for the mistakes they may make but a #### of lot slower, if at all, to compliment the joy those 25 years of flight simulator development has given to the simulation community.
August 22, 200619 yr >And, to be *totally* truthful, the big blurries fix that Paul>talks about on his blog didn't make it into the FP beta>version. :(Don't worry about that Mike. The demo had bugs and blurries and I couldn't get enough of it.:( I can't even explain how happy I am that there wont be blurries in the final release. I also like how I can switch views faster then in fs9 with out that small pause. Anyways I bet you guys at ACES will feel great when you release the final product after 3 years of hard exhausting work.:)
August 22, 200619 yr Tdragger,With this new listening approach that Microsoft is taking; and now with you putting up an explanation of the delay in your blog it is getting harder and harder for me to flame microsoft daily (it's my passion). Could you and Microsoft kindly stop it please!!
August 22, 200619 yr Author Mike,I would just like to say that I really appreciate you taking the time to let us know the latest news on the beta.
August 23, 200619 yr wow...not a single post in this very "hot" thread since yesterday!!?? Has the beta come out?? is this why there is such silence?
August 23, 200619 yr >wow...not a single post in this very "hot" thread since>yesterday!!?? Has the beta come out?? is this why there is>such silence? No. We have been told the reason for the delay. Therefore there is no point yet in asking more questions.
August 23, 200619 yr it was such a fun thread!! It provides hope that any second that long awaited beta will arrive :)
