I have a good feeling we'll get in but the real>question is when. Release is only 2 months away now so what's>the hold up.Yes it would be nice if there was an official "Sorry for the delay etc..". I know it won't get it to us any quicker but that's not the point. Not going to happen though is it.

I am thinking when tdragger said in a day or so he did not take into consideration the weekend. Because of today being a Saturday and tomorrow being a Sunday nothing is going to happen until at least Monday now. So perhaps his statement of a day or so starts monday :-hmmm Software programs sometimes come out on Tuesday so perhaps Tuesday might be the day :-hmmm At this point the credibility and reputation of ACES and Fileplanet are in serious jepardy. Perhaps if the beta actually gets released we will soon forget but if we are kept in the dark and it never comes out then I will never forget this. In 10 years from now when FS2016 come out I will say "remember that fileplanet beta deal you got suckered into? Yeah all that waiting and nothing...yeah that sucked!!!"!

Stuff like this happens on weekends sometimes too. The internet doesn't seem to have a "work week".

Probably not which is to bad. I'm with the other guy though, I'm also tired of being confined to a couple of islands, I need more. The sim looks awesome and I'm eager to explore other parts of the globe to see what it looks lke. I wonder if the beta will run smoother then the demo, perhaps they are ironing some bugs out of the beta before releasing it. That wouldn't make any sense to me since they know as well as we do that's what a beta consists of. Anyways where's the beta fileplanet?:-mad x( :D

Perhaps we should all go down the pub and have a few pints whilst we wait to hear something. Anybody want to join me? My round. :-lol

Sorry I don't feel like flying to the UK just to have a couple rounds of beer.:-lol

I'm getting sick of the wait as well, a few days means a few days not weeks. And the sign up link is still up, no message saying that the beta is now closed. Maybe FP still has beta slots open? My gut feeling is that it might be a Mircosoft/Aces delay rather then a FP delay but I think most of us who signed up will get our hands on the beta but the question of course is when.

It's been a long time since I've beta tested anything - the last time I did it was for a now-defunct company with non-flight-simulator games (Three-Sixty Pacific and wargames, respectively), but back then there was no web so everything was done via UPS. I'd get home from classes and there'd be a new UPS red letter envelope waiting for me. Six 3.5" floppies and a completely new build was the usual contents. Ah, the days of DOS, where an uninstall was a simple "DEL" command... We'd get updates about every week or so for about six weeks, and then a free copy of the program when it was done as thanks for our labor. Pretty cool deal, when you think about it. In fact, I'm still owed a beer for finding one bug that nobody else could (too bad the guy who owes it to me is not working for ACES!) :)I've not done a beta through FP, and it will be interesting to see the differences. FS is, of course, a different beast altogether, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they've done to the rest of the world (though eliminating Meigs is going to be my first bug report! }()Back to waiting...Mark

Well I was down the pub last night and was joined by quite a few FS users waiting patiently for the beta. I thought I saw Bill G but it was someone else. Tried to catch the ear of Mike G but he was far too busy although I thought I heard him say something about FSX and how we'll all love it. A good time was had by all but perhaps a few pints too many. :-hah For breakfast I decided to have two eggs, 2 sausages, mushrooms and some baked beans. Mmmmmmmmmm yummm!!! Flicked through the morning paper as well. Decided to maybe try a booking a few piano lessons or learn to play the electric guitar this comig week whilst I wait for more news on the beta. Sorry got to go, coffee is brewing. :-lol :-lol :-lol

Maybe you should get a job ;-)
