Hey Chris, if I remember correctly, HDMI can only get to 4k by running 30Hz whereas display port will go to 60Hz. If you are running a 4K monitor via display port, then try HDMI, it may switch to 30Hz by default. Of course, I would prefer DL to be switched on (since I miss the landing lights on my PMDG planes), but my first priority is to resolve that "microstutter" issue. Using 4.4?

I'm running Windows 10 64 bit, monitor is an HP Pavilion 32Q, and under monitors in the control panel it just shows "generic PNP monitor", and there's no way to change the refresh rate in the properties tab that I can see.... I can however choose between 60hz and 70hz in NVCP under the display/change resolution tab, and NVCP actually sees the make and model of the monitor too, not the "generic" label like the Windows control panel. December 31, 20187 yr Author I am not optimistic that installing 4.4 will change anything. PBR is not exactly Earth shattering news to me, as my planes look great as they are. However, if anyone can confirm that 4.4 resolves microstutter problems, then I will think again Edited December 31, 20187 yr by Christopher Low Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

Right click on an empty spot on the screen and it will bring up a tab that lists the Nvidia Control Panel. Try creating a custom resolution at 30hz to see if your monitor will support it. If not set half refresh v sync and set monitor to 60hz. Set in game limit to 33 FPS and see how that works. Matt Wilson

Thanks, but i've tried that before and I get better results with 60hz and fast sync enabled, and unlimited frames in the sim. I was really just curious why I can't control the refresh rate from the Windows control panel, sorry, I guess I should have been more clear about that. I wonder what setting it to 70 hz would do, if anything... Edited December 31, 20187 yr by SunDevil56 Scott
