I always use Kiwi’s Sun with its sunglow and others from him for other seasons.

You guys are awesome.  Lots of good ones to try - obviously I'll try the free ones first 🙂  If I ever get off the ground...still getting the hang of the FSL ATSU haha.  I see you've got past that, David, seeing as your A320 is in the air haha.  You're right, it is very subjective.  I guess I don't like any strange hues in the sky, ASCA seems to have a lot of strange greenish/reddish/purpleish tones.

It is Atmosphere Ultra Real Pack from RSDesign ( S.mm.rk.t.. ) + my Shader preset.

My favorite combo is this:  SkyForce, Environment Force, and Active Sky for P3d (for weather).  Love the effect everywhere in the world.

Envtex sky textures are very realistic, highly recommended.

LOL..  in an AC at above the clouds and the sun shining on them clouds are very bright . Ever looked down on the clouds from a flying AC around noon in summer ?

The power of the sun has a big influence on the brightness. Pilots often have their sunglasses on ...

Here the same clouds ( same day , same time ) but seen from beneath :

It all depends on the sunpower, type of clouds and altitude. See my vids ( link at the bottom ).

Here in winter ( less sunpower, so less bright ) :

That is why my PTA preset sets has a different preset for every month. Shadow strenght, colors , visibility etc not change on the day depending on the weather and the Environment but also on what time of the year..

EF will get there but at this point I see too many people having issues. Even the Fs friend of mine who bought EF on my advice has shelved it for now ( got black grass on several airports and clouds looking still too grey ) till a later moment ...

Brightness is the least of those clouds issue. The shading is completely off, very unnatural, making them look like stylized cartoon clouds.

You really have no idea what you are talking about it seems.

Those clouds are only more bright from above and they have more Shade at the bottom.  So completely off is nonsense. Then HiFiSim has made incorrect clouds.. You might not like and that is no problem.

Perhaps you know or not that I have a Full size 7378 cockpit. Two other cockpitbuilders and good friends of mine are Transavia pilots and sometimes come over to make a flight and have a nice time.  

With pics they made and following their advises I have made my PTA presets over the last 2 years. And they both find my clouds and the Environment very realistic. And one of them also uses P3Dv4 at home with AS and ASCA...

Their opinion of how my Fs Environment looks and what can be inproved is the way I go.

As my PTA presets have been downloaded more than a thousend times I must be doing something that others like 😎

For someone who uses every single opportunity to post your PTA preset and post screenshots, you really don't take criticism very well. It seems like a very touchy subject to you, that someone might not enjoy cartoon clouds, so I'll leave it at that.

Also shade =/= shading.

My PTA presets are free and I am happy to share them with anyone. And as a lot of people like them I might post screenshots from time to time. I also like seeing screenshots from others as they can see more than a thousend words.

Criticism is not in issue when giving a personal opinion or knowing how something works and point to improvements.

Claiming patent on objective truth about how something visually aligns with reality, seems the worst basis of claiming to be open to criticism, would perhaps be the opposite really 🙂

But alas, it's merely an optional shader preset. Options for the community is never a bad thing.
