Is there a way to stop the warning message popup from popping up?, Some times the window pops "under" the P3D startup screen and I don't see it until I realize that P3D has taken 30 minutes to start 😉

We will take it out in release version

FSUIPC Version 5.15 (from 27th November 2018 as the newer version has some problems with AI)

I've only just noticed this. Can you explain this business? I am not aware of any problems with AI caused by FSUIPC. Not sure how it could. I always use the latest version (naturally) and I am using 100% traffic level with AIGM-OCI traffic (all airlines, latest versions).

Please tell me what to look for. No one has reported a problem on our support forum that I'm aware of.

Thanks,
Pete

I dont know if I am doing somethig wrong or if its the fact that I use the latest P3D v4, but I cant get my AI traffic (AIG AI Manager traffic) to use the sloped runway at Aerosoft Svolvaer Airport with your addon. It does tell me in a message box when starting P3D that its a Beta software etc bla bla 🙂 " so I know it at least "active".

I always disliked that the developer for some reason decided to use a sloped runway there since its not much of a slope to begin with!, and honestly for an AI junky like myself it was never worth it so since I have used a free verion of the Airport and my Aerosoft payware on the shelf, until I heard about this addon which made me so happy. But not working unfortunately.

Hi Pete,

My advice was based on the topic "P3D v4.5 (or 4.4) Crash with AIseparation or RC4" posted on May 20 in your support forum. I suffered from the same CTDs with AI until someone else (I think over at AIG?) brought up the same topic. Reverting back to the mentioned version solved it for me. But I am only a user of the freeware version and have not followed the progress of later FSUIPC updates since summer. So it could be very well resolved in current builds.

Best,
Christoph

But that thread finished with the completely fixed version, 5.151d! The current release is 5.152 which of course also includes that fix.

Please update. It doesn't cost you anything. Download the current version, run the installer. Done!

I don't like folks saying FSUIPC is causing problems when they haven't even checked for updates.

Pete,

I can fully understand the point you made and I am very grateful for what you offer to the community. Therefore, I did like you asked for and tried my very best to recap what let to my advice back in July. But as I said, I did not followed the later progress that was made in the mentioned support thread (which I looked up for you today).

Moreover, edemeijer and I continued the topic over at AIG where he is also an active community member. His problem was indeed triggered by the mentioned issue of the then recent FSUIPC version. He reverted to 5.15 and could resolve his problems with the AI Runway tool.

Your wording gives me the feeling that you want to force me in a very defensive position here. And this is frankly said a bit unfair given the described circumstances from my end.

You should understand the routines of us users of your freeware. I suppose that many (at least I) only update the module every once in a while and do not keep up with every update. For me, the issue (the tool AI Separation in my case) started in spring and I finally replaced the module on June 25th after I found a thread at AIG. For me that was enough housekeeping to get AI with AI Separation running again and I did not followed the further progress that was made by John.

Anyway, the most important take away here is that the recent version of FSUIPC does not have any longer problems with AI.

Best,
Christoph

ok so I did some further testing and with the addon active aircraft can land on the Svolvaer sloped runway, looks fantastic, finally after all these years! 🙂 With the addon disabled, landing aircraft sink like a stone through the runway so all good. I did several tests with and without the addon and clearly it does magic

Now, for all departing aircraft its a differens story. They just disappear even before even starting the engines. Are departing aircraft more sensitive to the slope? Any idea?

Actually all versions up to the one i said had the exact same error in. It's just that the corruption didn't affect AI Traffic control by applications. they would have affected something else instead, perhaps more insidious. That's the trouble with memory corruption -- what happens to be in that memory affects the result.

Sorry if that's how you interpret it.  I would just really appreciate it if folks would at least try the currently supported versions of our software. I understand your motivation at the time.
