Sorry.. you may have solved some of your pauses, great! But scenery loading pauses in heavy scenery, especially when having lots of Orbx scenery active is another kettle of fish, entirely.. If this were AV.. a simple test would be to turn off AV entirely for a flight.. Edit: I did just that.. and sad to say.. "No Banana".. Agreed. However, did you exclude other areas that may be affecting fluidity? My REX folder for SkyForce is outside the Lockheed Martin folder. My Active Sky or HiFi folder is under Program Files (x86). Environment Force was under Lockheed Martin. Both weather and clouds formations are constantly changing and I believe they have a great deal to do with it....besides AV. I may be wrong, but I'll continue to test. Stan

I'm hoping that the other sim will soon have all the add-ons I want in order finally put this sim to rest. FS2020 can be released soon enough. We have been chasing our tails for way too long and these two annoying issues will never be resolved. Oh, you will love the pauses when MFS2020 streams down the ground data i guess 🙂 System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
August 27, 20196 yr Author Additional flights today from KEWR to CYUL and back to KPHL. Everything seems smoother and o pauses that last 10 seconds as in the past. I am happy and hope it continues. Stan

The only time in my P3D experience that I experience a pause is when it loads the Drzewiecki Design's SeattleX and that for 2 or 3 seconds max, and if I take that scenery out I don't have any pauses anywhere at anytime. I have Orbx NA/Vector and the seven FTX west. I have KIS, I have recorded and streamed hour long flights from the same PC with no pauses ect.. August 28, 20196 yr Commercial Member Speaking of pauses... I think my anti-virus was preventing Windows 10 from booting at all due to it scanning during boot! Perfect test location: Take off at Van Nuys R16R, on the piano keys. What stands out to me is that when I fly multiplayer with half a dozen flightsim buddies, we all experience scenery loading pauses in the exact same locations. One will call out "Just had a pause" and others will follow with the same as they overfly the same location.. V4.5. original release was actually better at Van Nuys, but V4.5.12 HF re-introduced the pause.. It must be a performance trade-off.. Edited August 28, 20196 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

Its funny Bert that when I deleted FSDT LAX the VanNuys pause went away for me. Also I don't use vector when in SC which has eliminated most all pause's in that region. August 29, 20196 yr .... hmmmm. That old chestnut. I have never had an antivirus product on any gaming system.... why would you ? I use an old laptop for PH and other seedy -or other - trawling... or more usually a tablet. I have 4 boot drives on my server PC. None are used for surfing. I even disable Windows Defender using OoShutUpWindows and disable updates using GP editor. Never had as much as a cold. If I did, I would simply restore a recent image backup using Macrium Reflect, from a 6TB external USB 3 hard drive. Come on.... this is a well trodden road!

Maybe a coincidence, but I'm trying everything from very frequent view changes to flying in extreme conditions. So far, so good. The new driver may be playing an important role as well. Stan
