I don't think that this wind turbine is generated from the imagery (i.e. photogrammetry) as it isn’t 3d in Bing Maps and appears to be a different type of turbine. My guess is that either the AI detected the wind turbine based on the imagery and then placed a generic model there or that they use additional sources for these kinds of things such as e.g. OpenStreetMap. Yea, I am also curious to see if OSM data is coupled with the Azure Data. OSM data features Windmills among othe elements. It all depends on the contribution level in a specific area. It's the Tokyo screenshot that made me realise that most probably the in-house footprints fetched by the Azure AI is not (yet) worldwide because the Tokyo autogen was purely procedural (i.e: does not match the Bing imagery footprints). infrastructure are placed on one side and another of a road segment as far as I could observe. However few infrastructure seem to be based on footprints. When I looked at Tokyo on the OSM maps, I saw the downtown area having a comprehensive amount of footprints but not the surrounding areas. So yea, who knows, maybe after all, MS is adding the OSM data to its in-house scanning results... ________________________________LEBOR SIMULATIONSScenery for Flight Simulators since 1998

OSM alone is not so reliable and enough to cover the VFR world of MSFS. Again, we see that the modeling of trees (shape, density and variety) is something that Asobo has to work on. It is far from perfect. My hope is that there are some people interested in trees in the alpha crowd 🌳🌲🌴 ! I was searching in the Seattle area, Northeast and the Great Lakes, basically everywhere in the US where there‘s water, just not in the south. Eventually I found it on reddit. I fully agree about the trees, but I‘m sure this will be fixed. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2

The thing is there are other trees that match the photogrammetry ones in other screenshots in different areas. So maybe those are generic ones until a later stage of the game.
March 2, 20206 yr Author Don't you think there are too many screenshots taken in the US? This country will be flown over by millions of simmers anyway. I am always happy when I see screenshots of remote areas because I think this is where Asobo needs the most of the feedback from Alpha testers. As someone already said: "The world is very big..."
