Hope we don't have to lean our piston turbo charged engines in the climb to maintain power anymore. That and bit more realistic ground friction.

So true! DCS was renowned for its fluid flight dynamics. IL-2 Sturmovick was renowned for its damage modeling (especially with regards to aerodynamic loading causing part failure). Both these sims have aged over a decade. There's no reason why we can't see a decade of improvement in MSFS2020.

Whatever the case, we'll know very soon what we're getting as far as aerodynamics.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

I forget which past sim (Propilot rings a bell) had the feature where you could lose engine power and maybe even flame out if flying through heavy rain/storms etc..

I know PSX models it.

I would love to see the big jets maintaining a level turn with the Autopilot engaged using the elevators rather than the Stab trim all the time.

We have seen a very realistic spin video already but I would like to see some more variations of stalls, also some slips and skids would be nice.

Most important for me personally would be some aerobatic flying. Take that beautiful CAP10 and do some snap rolls (positive and negative), hammerheads, tailslides, tumbles and a perfect rolling circle (ok, admittedly, that one ist only about the flying skills of the test pilot, not really about aerodynamics). I am expecting a lot here from Asobo, since the french are the current world champions of unlimited aerobatics...!

I'd like an in depth explanation of how the new flight model and ground physics model works with a visual representation of the aerodynamics and airflows in action

Will some of the 1000 aerodynamics reference points cover the floats of a floaplane  for a better simulation of the drag they induce ?

If it covers the tires for the different terrain types, I bet it's possible to do the same with the water, and as the water is really volumetric and affected by the wind and atmospheric conditions, would be a real shame not using it to improve water operations.

I was thinking of the drag in the air and the reduced maneuverability due to the floats which is not a strong point of the present flight modeling.

But you're right I hope  to see at last some realistic water ops

Well, about that I'm pretty sure it will be covered. The devs already said when the gears are down it would affect the physics or any other surfaces (like extra fuel tanks or skis!?) would also affect the aircraft behavior. 

But we still have to see if it will depend on the sim engine or it will be implemented for each plane individually. If the second, we would still rely on the airplane devs to do a good work on that matter. I'm hoping the sim engine can read/see the surfaces and the do the work accurately.
