I went with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L9HCJ2V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So happy with it, it is an absolute beast, if you decide to splurge, make sure you get that one and not the lower priced one as the one above is 5120 x 1440 which makes a huge difference in fidelity. The only bad thing you can say about it is it is 120hz instead of 144 but it supports freesync and now that Nvidia finally supports freesync you really can't go wrong

Hmmm, I thought there would be more top/bottom visibility with the higher resolution version.  It seems to look about the same as my CHG90.  Hows performance on the CRG9 with the higher resolution?  I actually gained a decent amount of FPS oddly enough going from my 2k 27in to the CHG90.  So far its been perfect but I wish I could see just a little more on the top and bottom.

Oh perfect ! thank you very much that's what i wanted to see.  i think i will be at fov 100 but lower seat i dont need to see overhead

One could almost always shift the eyepoint back a bit to widen the FOV without the fisheye effect.

I use a Hisense 43" 4 K HDR10 TV as my monitor driven by N Vidia - and looking forward to MS2020because the current sims - especially XP don't cater for 4K.

Yes they will let you set 4 K resolution - but the picture has to be upscaled from 1K - and all lettering is very tiny

I bought this principally for use with my X BOX ONE X  - which is actually 4KHDR10 outputted - and the results are brilliant

I noticed in the few shots we have seen of MS 2020 being used in demo - Ie X BOX 019 -

that 43" monitors were being used to give the 4K / 60 that MS have been sprucing - using their X Box One X experience to date

- and of course MS2020 will also be released on X Box TWO - due for release around August / September

Here's a clip I shot a week or so ago externally via GoPro to show a friend of mine.  I love this monitor almost as much as flying in VR.  Actually - sometime's its better, since in VR I can't look down and see my GoFlight Radios/switches/ect.

I am also using the CRG90 with my laptop equipped with a 9900K, 2080GTX and 64Gb of RAM, but no way to go past 60Hz, even if I switch off HDR.

Maybe it's a mini displayport to DP adapter issue, I have no idea 🤔

I know it is limited to 60hz when using some HDMI cables at the max resolution.  Shouldn't be with DP but maybe it could be the adapter bandwith that is limiting it.  Maybe try 1080 resolution just to see if it works with that resolution..??  I personally just keep mine set at 60hz.

Thanks Eric

The adapter is DP 1.2 and my laptop output 1.3, so there is definitely a bottleneck.

I ordered Dell Alienware's 34 inch curved monitor, 3420DW 21:9 ultrawide aspect, paired with a new PC I'm building, for now I'm settling for RTX 2080 Super, paired with intel X series i9-10900X 32GB DDR4, eventually I can upgrade the CPU on the same motherboard, and upgrade the GPU, hopefully within a year or so the price of the upcoming 3080 Nvidia series come out, I didn't want to spend on the still very over priced 2080Ti ... should have all this within next 2 weeks, and I'll share my findings..,.

I just got the Samsung CRG9 a week ago.....it's awesome and really is the perfect size and curve for flightsim, driving sims, etc.  I can highly recommend!

But how is it in daily use like surfing the internet or looking at pictures, videos, reading text etc.? Isn't it too big for normal use?

very necro thread.

Some of our staff at work use very large screens like this. What they seem to do for productivity and work related apps is split the screen into four and run it as if it was 4 separate 1080p  24" monitors with no bezel.

It's great for nearly everything, especially if you like to use 2 apps in the same time, or watch a youtube video on one side and browse a website on the other.

The only downside is for movies, where you have nearly half of the screen unused.
