January 9, 20206 yr HI there, quick question, is it possible to change the date P3D identifies as "winter" (or any other season for that matter) thus uses the snow textures? Here in Mid-Europe, at least in the last few years, we haven't had real snow until maybe late January or February (#climatechange ;) ) .... It just feels strange flying over completely snow covered germany when it's 10deg Celcius in real life out there..... I know there is a threshold setting in the p3d.cfg for night texture time, so maybe there's one for seasons as well? Thanks for any help. Stu

January 9, 20206 yr @disco79stu Google simelite solutions season manager. You can create your own seasons. P3D has 4 seasons spring, summer, fall, winter, & hard winter. What we see now are the hard winter textures. I use Season Manager to set my area with winter (no snow cover).

January 9, 20206 yr It's very simple, make a flight with a default aircraft as your default flight and P3D that will load on opening and with that flight set a date like 20th Nov. You can then set time to current and set up your flight but you will get 20th nov textures, No silly hard winter. I am using one with 1st Nov 2019. Because Euro, UK, France etc are not covered in snow these days. just don't change the date, its that simple. David Murden. It wouldn't be as dark as it is at i.e. UTC 1600 in november compared to january.... Also, flying the FSLabs (and I know you do too 😉 ), having the OFP and the sim time synchronized is kinda important. I don't like the idea of changing all the dates to a "fake" one, especially since I usually fly real flights/routes/dates/times. 6 minutes ago, disco79stu said: I use Season Manager to set my area with winter (no snow cover). Does it work with ORBX products like Germany north/south etc?

Well set time to around the 15th Dec if you want the same sun rise and set to match around now. anything but jan. IMO thats far better than seeing the UK covered in snow. Its works fine with the FSL. up to you 😉 Edited January 9, 20206 yr by Nyxx David Murden. Purely FWIW...since the solstice is Dec 21, right now we're about 20 days past the solstice, so sunrise/sunset will be the same as 20 days before the solstice. So Nov 30 wouldn't be a bad approximation. 5800X3D | Radeon RX 6900XT

January 9, 20206 yr I have to say, the Season Manager is the best product released in 2019. It's priced just right and fixes the annoying issues with P3d4 seasons.
