January 27, 20206 yr This got posted two days ago and is a reasonable insight into what non-flight sim people are thinking about MSFS. A reasonable summary except for the failure to mention Azure.

Guess it's the same worldwide. They are impressed by the detail out of the box. Surprise. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
January 29, 20206 yr Well, good news. I still remember the days, a long time ago now, when my school friends used to make fun of me because I used to "play" Flight Simulator. It was that "boring game" for them... ________________________________LEBOR SIMULATIONSScenery for Flight Simulators since 1998

January 29, 20206 yr There are gamers in here too 🙂 We are gamers too. it's a game unless you are actually flying, so yeah. Video didn't add much to anything, it is a recap of information more or less. Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."
January 29, 20206 yr The only thing I’ll add about the “gamer” angle is that I’m glad to see discussion around that exists. I’m still really really hoping that a next-gen XBox could be a really viable and performant way to enjoy this new sim.

Of course it will obviously play on the Series X but people keep making that mistake.

Do you have a link that says that definitively? Do you really think that this game is launching at basically the same time as the next gen XB hardware and they’re not thinking internally that will be a target platform for MSFS? It is an ideal showcase for their latest XB hardware. It’d be crazy to not be planning for MSFS to be a key draw to pull forward XB upgrades. MSFS has been in development for many years and I think the whole conversation around the XB1 might indicate that at one point in time they thought MSFS might release much sooner than it’s going to and be a bigger thing on Xbox one… I think it’s pretty reasonable to assume that over time that has morphed on their internal plans a bit Edited January 29, 20206 yr by irrics

Its listed as Xbox One and Windows 10. I've mentioned this on here before and it just seems people are assuming it's being made for Xbox Series X with no evidence. It's also on the launch reveal at E3 press conference.
January 29, 20206 yr Even the venerable PC Gamer has joined the discussion...... https://www.pcgamer.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-release-date-trailer/

You really believe a brand new Microsoft flight simulator is going to come out and it will be for the old Xbox and windows only? Edited January 29, 20206 yr by irrics
