If no one makes a "drama" out of it then Asobo will let it go through, because they'll think no one cares about it. One can only hope the Alpha testers are reporting it and making a "drama" out of it. Matthew S

I dunno about you but I’m pretty confident I would prefer to hear/read “I’ve encountered this/discovered this issue” rather than “If you don’t fix this issue your product is dead in the water! It’s a failure! You can’t even get this right, how will you get anything else right?!?”. I also know which one is more likely to have my issue addressed. Edited February 23, 20206 yr by Anthracite

I'm not an Alpha Tester so I can't log any issues, therefore the only way to be "heard" is to make as much of a ruckus as possible in the vain hope that someone from Asobo might actually take notice. But I doubt it.... I'd gladly join the Alpha and focus on my pet peeve from FSX/P3D which is object scale (building and tree height). Asobo, happy to accept your personal invitation, just PM me! It’s a failure! Yes. This is what I was taking about by 'drama' which is just reactionary clutter, and helps no one, especially when posted here. I would be 100% certain this problem has been pointed out (and pointing it out is fine) many times by those testing the alpha. Also Asobo are not some bunch of amateurs, who won't notice such things, I'm sure they are well aware. I would say graphical perfection, or as close as you're able to get, is something they specialise in and it will be dealt with before release. A case of mountains out of molehills - now that would be a scale issue 😄 Edited February 23, 20206 yr by Stratocaster

They are using satellite images to build scenery and cities in the sim so that you can actually see every trash can on the side of the road that was there when the imagery was taken and stream real time weather data as well as live AI traffic. What more would one need to see the real world in the sim?

February 24, 20206 yr When I published previews of my custom autogen / VFR scenery, I got many feedback regarding the fact that the houses lack diversity and the buildings lack height variation. In these early previews, I made a rough implementation of the OSM data to see globally, how it all looks... Since then, I made so many refinement in the procedural rules to make autogen variate based on sectors of the country (city vs villages / north / south / coast etc) I made the same refinement with tree types using rules... And all this with a 3rd party tool limited in a way it accesses the engine capability and features ... If I could do this with limited tools, the creators of the Engine + tools to talk to every corner of the engine will certainly do it... As I said before, we have almost 1 type of procedural trees implemented and it looks like evergreens... The comparisions are being made between these evergreens and the deciduous trees seen in the Photogrammetry and that I did not see yet in the procedural world... With patience they will be planted and will grow fast 🙂 ________________________________LEBOR SIMULATIONSScenery for Flight Simulators since 1998
