Frankly I'm surprised nobody's commented that the left main wheels are raised up and the ones on the right seem to be at an angle.

all passengers are sitting on the right side, duh 🙂

then they don't have wake turbulence

Some who are more informed than me could probably correct me if I'm wrong, but wake turbulence has nothing or little to do with the jet blast. I think it's the vortices that come off the wing tips and descend. Part of the reason for ground effect.

You are right.  Which is why I said

But that one plane looks really close to the jet in front of it.  So I would think it would get hit by jet blast.  And if they don't have jet blast, then they don't have wake turbulence.

Jet blast when flying fades fast, compared to wing vortices.  But it is a component.  So I figure if they don't have one, they probably don't have the other.  Or if they do, then it is not a complete model without the jet blast.  From wikipedia - "Wake turbulence is a disturbance in the atmosphere that forms behind an aircraft as it passes through the air. It includes various components, the most important of which are wingtip vortices and jetwash."

Then again, maybe they have both, and the screenshot is misleading.

My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. On 3/26 he almost didn't survive the night.  He had extreme trouble breathing and was given a steroid inhaler.  He was very weak, had nausea, and other issues that aren't pleasant.  As of this update he is feeling much better, and seems he will be fine.  Stay safe out there.  (Updated 4/6)

Well, it's a screenshot of a player. Have you ever disobeyed airport taxing rule?

Nobody mentioned the "VFR Map" in the Istanbul screenshot. This is great to have this back. In the old simulators we had a map window, which was then replaced with a "top down view". The latter had the disadvantage that it was dark at night while this "VFR Map" window is possibly like the old map window, which had always the same colors/brightness even at night and you could see things.

Yes it is nice to have that.  I think it isn't being mentioned because it was part of a leak video.  So some have seen it.

But this is the first official showing of it.  And it is nice you can see it even when outside the plane.  I look forward to seeing all the ways we can tweak or customize the display.  Not to mention simulated instrument failures.

where is the 747?  the airliner in front only has 2 engines.

Err...right.  IT's one of those special 2-engined 747s...ya that's it...

So does anyone know if they will be sending out new invites this round and if so, when will they send out invitations? March 26th?

This is what we know from March 19th---

ALPHA BUILD UPDATE

The team is currently focusing on releasing an updated Alpha build which we are planning to release next week.

ALPHA INVITATIONS

There have been a number of discussions in the community regarding Alpha build access recently. We are continuing to discuss our current participation strategy and will finalize any changes/communicate to the community, once we release the updated Alpha build. Our current top 3 tasks regarding Alpha participation are as follows:

Ensure that everyone that received an acceptance email has access to the Alpha.

Ensure that those that registered early for pre-release build testing, have access to the Alpha.

Assess Alpha participation options for adding more people as quickly as possible.

Edited by Grounded

So that would mean this week then, could be any day now. I really hope I receive an invite. I've been anxiously waiting to try it out.

Wouldn't this mean they will be sending out the new alpha builds to current and potentially new testers as well?

Since they say "planning" instead of "will be", implies it could be delayed.  We should know more (maybe) tomorrow around 3:30-4pm PST.
