I know there's the virus situation to blame for it, but I would honestly have thought it's been made long before the Covid-19 outbreak. I can't imagine they haven't already made the Multiplayer and IFR videos, so what a shame we have to wait another god knows how long. 😞 They've probably already been shot, but stuck in editing, encoding or publishing phase. They are working on the simulator from remote locations so working on the episode would likely delay their work on improving the Alpha build. Microsoft would almost definitely not approve of a development delay to accommodate community content. 2 minutes ago, G-RFRY said: It looks like it`s still mainly GA aircraft in Alpha test. Yes, but airlines are coming in the build update after that.
March 19, 20206 yr I wanted to see the multiplayer too, but given that they had to go remote I completely understand it. And the fact that they are still updating us and staying in contact is much appreciated during these times. And adding another aircraft, and the Training Mission's etc... another item that was asked for by some in the community, amazing how that actually listen to the community 🙂 Thanks MS and Asobo. I have no idea what additional aircraft will be added, but I think we might, just might be surprised? Maybe sneak, well not sneak, but add more commercial jet types, regional jets, or variations of them? Excluding helicopters ( we know at some point they are coming, I trust them ), how many default aircraft came with FSX? And of course so far the default in this version is way better than we have ever seen in default aircraft, right? What's your guess on the number of default ones we will have? Good stuff, time to go look at the existing videos again 🙂 Till we get a new one! March 19, 20206 yr Quote Until then, we are here with you. We are with you too MSFS Dev team! Stay safe (and if you can, send some alpha invites :D) Edited March 19, 20206 yr by aleex
March 19, 20206 yr Dissapointed, but not entirely surprised. I signed up as soon as I could (July) and did DxDiag as soon as I could (Whenever that was). I sure do hope they allow us in... I've not been invited to participate but I got a "year in review" email. Edited March 19, 20206 yr by Concodroid
March 19, 20206 yr Thanks for this latest update, news and screenshots. I am encouraged to hear that those who signed up early ( 1st day for me) may have a better opportunity to be added to alpha testing soon. Hope you are able to come through with that. To all of you, stay safe and well. We will get through this with time. 😊 Ken
March 19, 20206 yr Quote Ensure that those that registered early for pre-release build testing, have access to the Alpha. I signed up on day one, but don't do that, don't give me hope. I had finally come to terms with having to wait until release to fly the new sim! Great pics, sad about the delays, but glad to hear they are putting safety ahead of development. That Idaho pic especially makes me smile as I love bush flying in Idaho. Edited March 19, 20206 yr by Mengy
March 19, 20206 yr That shot with the 747, either that means that aircraft is available, or there is AI traffic. Great news either way. Thanks for the update, do anything/everything to keep yourselves safe and healthy.
March 19, 20206 yr We’ve added Live Events which are time-limited activities that we plan to switch out with different events frequently. Anyone have any idea what this could mean? Multiplayer events, a Tour, etc...? "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ

I don't think they let people in the alpha program based on the date you signed up. They want to test their software so most likely they know what they are looking for. Perhaps they don't have somebody on board with your specific graphics card or they need somebody that has a somewhat limited Internet connection to see what would happen. I have no idea what they are looking for but most likely the join date is the least likely reason for accepting somebody. Computer specs: CPU: fast | RAM: enough | GPU: fast | SSD: Pretty fast | Monitor: big | Internet bandwidth: pretty fast | Everything is 3Dfx compatible. 😉
March 19, 20206 yr Awesome to see training missions and a C152. That would be cool to have a private pilot course/missions. ASUS Prime Z490-A / i7-10700K / RTX 4080 / G.SKILL Ripjaws 32GB / Lian-Li PC-O11 Dynamic case

I signed up on the first day too, but I had to update my dxdiag because it gone missing some time ago (I think it happened to everybody), do you think updating the Dxdiag changes the day of my subscription? P.S: I know you don't have an official answer to that, but I'm just wondering about that and wanted to know what others think. I'm pretty sure that means there will be events that will change time to time and will be able to complete them only while they are live. Let's say they create an event called "cross the pond", a flight from New York to London and it will be available from today 12:00 PST - tomorrow 12:00 PST. And people completing those will probably receive some kind of achievements that will be part of your pilot profile.
