Now it's the best time to scan photogrammetry cities

Recommended Posts

No air traffic, no car traffic, good weather

If I were Bing I would start scanning all of the major cities lacking photogrammetry right now

I am afraid that it is going to be much less air pollution in the coming months.

To early for air photos, maybe end of May:(

If I understand it right, it's not Bing/Microsoft doing the scanning, they just buy/pay for the scans. It's up to their providers to get the imagery they need.

Also, I don't think it would be a priority at this moment.

I don’t think those companies are allowed to work right now in my country. So it’s no so simple.

Many private companies do this but as mentioned above, not the time for such investments from these companies or from those who buy these datas...

Yet just for fun, this is one nice demo of a photogrammetry area (Helsinki). I wonder if Bing data features this city:

It‘s not on their list nor in Bing Maps so I guess not.
