Uhm, since when is it not okay to present opinions and feelings about stuff? Let alone commercial stuff? Honestly, we don't owe them anything either. They make a product and customers pay for it. Fair relationship.

Sure, I am super excited about the new sim, have been talking about it in the best possible manner for months. Does that mean that I should be quiet if I don't like something? I don't think so...

At least present them in a respectful manner? Saying that Asobo are arrogant and treating us like trash, and feeling entitled to a larger announcement or an invite is not okay.

The minimum specifications have been a significant subject of discussion since the E3 announcement, with plenty of blatant misinformation along the way, so this is a much larger announcement than you think it is. If you already have a high-end system and felt secure about being able to run the simulator I can see why you wouldn't care about such an announcement, but this is important to many people, and if you were expecting a release date announcement while the simulator is still in alpha then you were setting yourself up for disappointment.

The arrogance of Asobo in having us believe today was something special... breathtaking

What about the arrogance of some of the forum members here, of which you are displaying a fine example, lol

Official confirmation that the simulator will run on a wide range of systems and that you will not need a monster computer (despite many continuing to insist), and a hint that maybe the simulator is closer to a beta state is underwhelming? Seriously? I guess it was foolish to expect better than this reaction. Stop being so entitled. They don't owe us anything, and reactions like these is exactly why they shouldn't engage with the community at all. We do not deserve this.

The sim will be backward compatible with AMIGA 500 and THOMSON TO7 computers. There are still internal talks on the Amstrad 6128.

I never said they were arrogant and treating us like trash... I feel that my comments have been respectful.

Okay, let me just state that I, in no way, meant to insult them. 🙂 I have a huge respect for what they're creating.

I got simply disappointed by this "reveal" and expressed it in my posts.

I know it's a difficult concept, but I didn't proclaim that you should "save the date".

OK, that settles it then. But be careful when quoting a post suggesting that Asobo are arrogant and saying "I agree completely".

Haha, will do! I must have missed that.

Fair enough, but it's hardly the fault of Asobo that your expectations are not met. Tone them down and all will be fine 🙂

I interpreted "save the date" as "expect a special announcement on that date", which is further confirmed by the calendar icon on the banner. I saw this poll just now and I'm surprised so many people expected that this would be a release date announcement.

In the past he complained about expecting stuff that was not even on the development roadmap, so that's probably impossible...

Yes I know, but Asobo built this day up to something special and frankly it was a let down. "Save the date" but then we only get specs 🤣

Really, I was expecting more because Asobo has been doing a good job with the weekly updates.... Oh well, the IFR video is meant to come out either this week (hopefully) or next, that'll do.

Really? Can you remember it for me, because I can't seem to... 🤔

I'll take a look at the old threads later, but I clearly remember a time when you were expecting new screenshots and videos even though there was not a "media update" deliverable for that date.
