Having released the specs is the most meaningful info we have seen for a while. Really useful for those planning an upgrade.

This could have been part of the regular weekly update. The arrogance of Asobo in having us believe today was something special... breathtaking.

I agree completely.. Furthermore, the specs aren't anything unexpected. I read it and was like: "Uhm, okay, now what?". A huge let down.

LOL... it's taken 5 pages to realise that you guys have wasted your time & expectations.

The announcement is actually very worthy, & more important than expecting free alpha installs.

Asobo is running a business, not a kindergarden.

Official confirmation that the simulator will run on a wide range of systems and that you will not need a monster computer (despite many continuing to insist), and a hint that maybe the simulator is closer to a beta state is underwhelming? Seriously? I guess it was foolish to expect better than this reaction. Stop being so entitled. They don't owe us anything, and reactions like these is exactly why they shouldn't engage with the community at all. We do not deserve this.

Uhm, since when is it not okay to present opinions and feelings about stuff? Let alone commercial stuff? Honestly, we don't owe them anything either. They make a product and customers pay for it. Fair relationship.

Sure, I am super excited about the new sim, have been talking about it in the best possible manner for months. Does that mean that I should be quiet if I don't like something? I don't think so...

I have huge respect for asobo for what I have seen so far. But I also feel disappointed about the "save the date" issue.

Is it only Avsimmers that believe in the Easter Bunny & Santa? 

No other sim sites have Pity Parties as seen here. But then, here we have the FS20'ers, so, to be expected, I suppose.
