April 20, 20206 yr I finally have most of what was in my v4.5 installed (or features there of) in v5..and it truly is the best performing flight sim, right now on my system For smoothness, it is even beating at at this time, XP11.50B5. That's saying a lot! I have GSX installed, a working weather injector (FSXWX 1.6.1 latest version) that is doing a fine job with TrueSky enabled. These pics have me heading for the active, under FSXWX 1.6.1 (active) and injecting into TrueSky enabled. Looks great, and works like a charm. You need to read what needs to be done, to get a working visible injection. You have to add a couple of modified v5 resident files, after you back them up..and enter the .cfg file and change out some lines under WEATHER. After that...the program works like a charm. Anyway..hope you all have your v5 sorting out. No Vram oom's..30 FPS maintaining, and again, all animation, even with TrueSky enabled...smooth as silk. Very impressed, and of all the P3D's...,the visuals are clear, crisp, and quite stunning. TrueSky, even in 'Beta' is a keeper! Edited April 20, 20206 yr by Sesquashtoo

I was having NO problems yesterday, but today I took a flight and my A330 was out of control with the wind switching +/- 100 knots aloft with the true winds aloft and internal wind turbulence unchecked and the DWCs all at 0. 5800X3D | Radeon RX 6900XT

If you read near the bottom of their how to...they talk about what they think is a wanky winds file, that affect tubes more than what would be considered normal. You might be running into this. I installed every one of their custom files..as I suggest you do, and I have not had any abrupt winds shifts. Now...what's really cool, is that when I ascended to FL220 this morning, on my way to KOAK, I encountered really realistic shudder and chop...and Accu-Feel gave me all the proper visual and sound stimuli. It was great... So..I guess, read again the page...take their advice and install their custom files, after you have backed up the v5 defaults...and try again. Edited April 20, 20206 yr by Sesquashtoo

When you choose that, you are enabling the enhanced atmospherics and volumetric clouds and fog. If you want to inject weather with FSXWX 1.6.1, and you want to use Volumetric Fog...you have to enable that option also within FSXWX, for it is there, and will properly interact with that feature. April 20, 20206 yr It is working normally again - I swapped out the files again, though I had done exactly that a couple days ago...anyhow...here are some of my live weather shots from the last few days. Really good experience overall with Truesky. Definitely some bugs, but even with them I still prefer it to the 2d clouds. The experience of actually flying in and out of clouds is a phenomenal enhancement. 5800X3D | Radeon RX 6900XT

It runs me around 5.1/4 in vRAM, with a sky crammed with clouds. I can fly for ten minutes, or half the day. You must have had an issue with some files on your system, that never....never...corrupt...LOLOLOLOL! Glad that you could overwrite them. Happy flying.. 🙂 Edited April 20, 20206 yr by Sesquashtoo
April 20, 20206 yr I want to believe... The FSXWX web site makes no mention of v5... The clouds do look a little"uniform" if I'm honest, perhaps it will be even better once full support for Truesky is implemented?

Follow all directions and suggestions from this page..and you will certainly have a working and a great injector. ASN will come...but it ain't here yet. April 20, 20206 yr Working for me, now to do some flights. Thanks for this. Should hopefully hold me over until AS.
