July 13, 20205 yr Topic says it all. I realize there are multiple NDAs. But some of these airports are already available in other sims. Case in point. Do you guys think FSDreamTeam made lax, jfk, ord? If they didn’t these are three huge ones they probably just got cut out on. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

July 14, 20205 yr Ok, here's my thoughts then 🙂 No, I think they're all created by MS/Asobo, but I may be wrong. I can't see why ie. FSD would put their airports in the game if they plan of making their present airports compatible with MSFS. I believe they will make more money of selling them seperate, than "giving" them to MS. On the other hand, from the screenshots I have seen of Lax and KSFO in the sim, I won't spend any money of them from developers. Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. July 14, 20205 yr Author the LAX/SFO I've seen weren't really that impressive. But to each his own 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
July 14, 20205 yr Moderator It would be interesting to see a screenshot of a default airport once the NDA is lifted. Manchester (EGCC) is a popular UK airport but isn't one of those listed as having received special attention. Microsoft has show-cased just a fraction of those available. Seeing how well a default airport is modelled will be revealing. Ray (Cheshire, England). I don't think Flightbeam would do a subpar version of KDEN for MSFS. But I thought maybe the KASE might be from Aerosoft or the NZQN could be from orbx as it is already relatively old and for sure most of potential customers bought it already. So maybe they sold it cheap to MS to use. Who knows. Georgian Virtual Airports (UGMS Mestia / UGGT Telavi / UGAM Ambrolauri)
July 14, 20205 yr We already know one UK developer that`s developing for MSFS in the future as he`s stated that, with his UK airports. And another offing a discount on MSFS versions if you own his airports. Edited July 14, 20205 yr by G-RFRY Raymond Fry.
July 14, 20205 yr Author I look at this as a bad thing for these developers. Clearly many of us more hardcore about the hobby would purchase again if we move forward with MSFS. However I would imagine a sizable chunk of "deluxe package" buyers would think that a semi-premium JFK would be good enough. So I'm wondering if microsoft is taking a big chunk out of their potential revenue base. I named FSDT specifically, because so many of their airports seem to be under attack. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
July 14, 20205 yr I'm in the Alpha program and will get the Premium version. Even if the included airports are "semi-premium" as noted above that will be OK with me as my goal with this sim (after about 40 years of simming) is less tweaking and more flying! July 14, 20205 yr Moderator @G-RFRY, assuming you're talking about UK2000 and Gary's work this was the last post he made just over a month ago... "I do now have the alpha version and access to the SDK. Due to the MS NDA, I'm not going to say anything about the sim itself, but I am actively working towards making scenery for this sim and coming up with new methods and work flow. As soon as we get a Public Beta version, I will discuss it further." Hopefully we'll hear more very soon once he's freed from the NDA. Ray (Cheshire, England). Agree with the above it doesn’t make sense for FSD to create in game like that. What I would say though is that the base level default airports we have been used to prior MFS are now a thing of the past, the bar has been well and truly raised. Does beg the question with the improved technology advancements we have now made in a sim just how good a job could a specialist like FSD do. No disrespect to Asobo but we have guys that have been doing this for decades with real passion I think we might be surprised how far they can take it.

I mean can I ask what it was like in a none NDA breaking way 😊 Does it need an UK2000/Aerosoft makeover? Btw even if it was lego it doesn’t remotely effect my views on the sim it looks stunning.

We shall just have to be patient. 😉 39 minutes ago, Greazer said: Just took a fly over default EGCC in A5. Interesting. Clearly you’re still under the NDA.
