I just read this thread after reading another one praising how aircraft react to winds, thermals, etc. This must be very confusing for those that have not purchased the sim yet. I have it and quite honestly am wondering what the problem it. Yes its slower than FS9...SURPRISE..not. I guess my expectations were low enough given my older machine that the performance I am getting is fine by me.By the way, just a comment on this idea that MS should have held off a year before release. Do you guys work in a business? Bottom line is that no company will finance any project forever without it getting to market. As a community we are better off with an imperfect FSX that will hopefully be patched in the future than the alternative which is MS cancels the project altogether due to cost overurns and poor project returns. How come PMDG and Level D can release 3 patches over a year and we all praise them but MS has to release perfection on day one??Mark.

Well said Mark.I don't see what the problem is either- I'm loving (da-da-da-DAT-dah)

>Truly this sim should have never been release this soon with>all the bugs and problems in it, what do thay take us for>suckers!!!!!I agree!FS2002 to FS2004 didn't hurt as much. Spend 20% of the time trying to improve it.FSX hurts a whole lot and spending 90% of the time trying to get it to run better.

>Well it sure isn't fs9...>http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=245643&page=True,FSX looks much more cartoonish, and.....with lousy framerates. :-lolhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/sa_banner.gifMy specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/2.8 at 3.0 Ghz1024 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory (2x256,1x512)AGP 256 Mb ATI Radeon X850 Pro ViVo, flashed to a X850 XT PE. >Truly this sim should have never been release this soon with>all the bugs and problems in it, what do thay take us for>suckers!!!!!I certainly don't feel like a sucker. It's running well on my system and looks great.I had no trouble with activation, took about ten seconds, and it kind of lowballed my system on default settings, had to turn those up a bit. KSEA is a bit slow sitting at the runway, but two minutes after departure I was a solid 20fps again.Sorry you guys are having trouble. Then again, except for an odd issue with Company of Heroes dropping players when emulating a LAN with Hamachi (probably not the games fault), I can't say I've really run into a lot of highly reported bugs in games this year.Good luck to everyone with getting it to work better.

>Why don't you post some shots in the thread so we can see>exactly this.>>Sion area....>http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpgThe easiest way is to jump over to the screenshots forum to get the idea. There you have all the evidence neccessary. :-wavehttp://www.scandicair.com/images/sa_banner.gifMy specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/2.8 at 3.0 Ghz1024 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory (2x256,1x512)AGP 256 Mb ATI Radeon X850 Pro ViVo, flashed to a X850 XT PE. Staffan with all respect stay with FS9 and have fun...But it's funny this one is huge step up from FS9 in all fields...If you can't see that :-lolDo you have FSX installed just curious? If you have based your opinion only on a few screenshots then you will miss a lot...I fired FS9 up today to fly some real system stuff... but hey it scared the heck out of me that ugly :-lolI have no blurries in FS9 and with all the add-on stuff man you can't compare...But just have fun in which sim you are going to fly, I bet you will change FS9 in the near future maybe for FS2002... ;-)By the way you should change your logo :-lolAndr

The only tweak I have done is turn the autogen and water off-and those shots are done with those settings. But you are still welcome to post some comparison shots to mine to show your point-you do have one don't you?http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

What we all are interested in, is how FSX behaves compared to FS9,.....U N T W E A K E D !""And don't even include me in the "WE" camp you are delusional aboutRegards, MichaelKDFW
