Here are a couple of upcoming streams that begin when the embargo is lifted. Probably a lot more are coming as well.

Great links, tomorrow should be a good day.

They announced MSFS that long ago in order to 'advertise' for Alpha testers. It would have been rather difficult to select any at all otherwise!

Not disputing this fact whatsoever. But 14 months is 14 months, saying the release was rushed is just wrong.

MSFS. Hardware: AMD 5600X @4.0Ghz, Corsair H100i RGB Pro XT AIO, MSI MPG B550i Gaming Edge WiFi mobo, RTX 3080ti 12GB FE GPU , G.Skill TridentZ Royal 32GB (2x16) DDR4-3600 RAM CL16, PNY XLR8 3030 1 TB SSD (OS + SIM), Crucial P5 1TB M.2 pcie-3 NVMe SSD (data) . Corsair SF750 80+ Platinum PSU, NZXT H200i Mini ITX Tower.  38" LG UltraGear  38GN950-B display. 4x QL120 fans

The developers kept to their published and plausible plans for a long time, maybe plus/minus a week because of corona. Then came the release announcement out of the blue and from that point it seems to have been rushed - for whatever reason which I suppopse we will learn one day, as we did with the fate of FSX / Flight later.

Kind regards, Michael

Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel /  LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440  / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11

Not sure if I get that correctly. Was the release originally planned for a later date?

Or simply a case of not showing their full cards. Keeps excitement steady and helps to build hype. I can imagine there are still many things to learn that we don't know about yet. The full plane list was a complete surprise, and I am sure Asobo/MS continues to have tricks up their sleeves.

Will it be perfect? not by any means, I'm sure. On the other hand, it's nice to see surprises still exist, and there are plenty of reasons that the alpha/beta test builds will not show the full product. At least one of those is so that not every single feature gets leaked, otherwise the excitement is less than the shock and awe effect of spreading news out over time.

Oh, don't worry about shock and awe. There will be plenty of that at the end of August. Maybe not in the way people expect it to be, but it will be a sight to behold.

To my best knowledge, it was not publicly announced, but it was not in the published schedules until I think September were some other events were well-scheduled.

Mathijs Kok, if I got his name right, said in his statement that when his company was invited to join the development team, he was surprised at how far along they were. Apparently what he saw was an already mature sim, that needed some aircraft.

September or October seems likely, yes. The Thrustmaster Airbus-themed HOTAS hardware (at least the throttles) was supposed to come out September 24th I think.

That sounds reasonable to me given the state we witness in the leaks. Which is not bad, but could use some more polishing.

I wouldn't give much on the leaks where no one knows which version they are based on, and even alpha / beta testers don't definitely know what will finally be released yet.

If the media embargo will fall tomorrow (see ChaoticBeauty's post above), I would expect those streamers got a version close to the release version allowing more definite conclusions.

My friends (and I mean that, regardless of whether you agree with me or not),

Please don't feed the animals.

People go to wildlife parks and preserves and ignore this rule which is EXTREMELY important for both human and animal safety - and they do so simply because they don't know all the reasons why it is crucial for human and animal safety and survival not to feed the animals.  Yes, that applies to bears, especially to bears, trolls, and those who crave attention.

MSFS is only weeks away from release and at that point everyone will see everything they want to see.  But as we get closer, there is going to be TONS of misinformation and trolls after your attention.

DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS.

Unless it comes from Microsoft or one of the Microsoft Partners, ignore it. You'll be much better off.

Best wishes!

Not necessarily. It depends on what they are allowed to show.

It's going to be a very interesting time for sure!

It seems streaming the game won't be allowed tomorrow after all.
