Long flights and flight computer

It's not them I'm worried about. But the general health of the flight sim community that has long been hijacked by old curmudgeons hell bent on gatekeeping and keeping flight sims inaccessible to the general public.

Get a grip, dude. How ironic that you accused others of bringing toxicity here, whereas it's you who use disparaging and offensive comments towards other members who have a different view than you ("poopoers", "old curmudgeons"). A lot of people are gonna make critical observations on MFS, deal with it. And if you can't, as moderators already suggested you, just ignore them without using offensive remarks.

The gatekeeping of the flight sim community should be shamed and called out. It has nothing to do with being critical of the product. I've called out issues that I'm concerned with myself.

Following this thread until it inevitably devolves into the old "What's more realistic, time compression or sleeping through most of your flight?" debate.

If you use the included flight planner, your route will be in your gps/fmc when the game loads even if the plane is cold and dark. You also have the option of doing it yourself

Thats awesome.

Thanks.

I think sleeping through the thread might prove a more productive use of time!

Why not use Flight Awares excellent filters to look for real-world 45-90min flights? 🙂 Then you can enjoy the sim in real time, no rush.

I think the streamers are told not to use the FMC. It's obvious that they all avoid it. LNAV and VNAV are not working well in the beta. Also, the use of AI ATC is avoided by all of them. Guess that's not in working state yet.

There still is only 1 controller and 1 pilot voice available, and this could be a GOOD THING. It could be that they are developing a much better TTS so that's the reason they are not expanding on the present TTS as that would be a waste of time. Let's hope so, that would be great.
