August 5, 20205 yr Could do without the effing and jeffing in it. Doesn't bother me personally, but as far as I'm aware there's rules on that for Avsim Edited August 5, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 5, 20205 yr It does help the immersion (the building AI, not the swearing in the post, not that I have any beef with that), but there are tradeoffs; colour (naturally) seems to be a big factor in how the AI distinguishes features, so if a building's courtyard or surrounding paving is roughly the same colour as the building, it'll be represented as part of the building. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

August 5, 20205 yr I'm beginning to wonder if the DoD will use or already uses a version of this technology for tactical uses. They already have better imagery available. Need to run it through the algorithm and you can get a 3D model of your target for planning or training. Or even strategic planning. Run new images through the model and see what the algorithm can see that you might not pick up as quickly. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

August 5, 20205 yr I know that the language is allowed on it, but the point I'm making is that the text is visible in this forum even though it isn't typed in here. I'm fairly sure that if I had a big picture of the word which rhymes with cluck, and posted it on the forums, it'd be very quickly deleted. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 5, 20205 yr Yep, in a couple of other testers have talked about this previously oh, and we're both amused and appalled at things like aircraft on the ground being turned into buildings. Also, while everyone seems entranced by photogrammetry, and I agree it can be beautiful, there are also some obvious issues, and some of us Alpha and beta testers have decided that there's actually more consistency in Flying Without photogrammetry, Even though we lose the exact building shapes of real buildings. What we get instead is something that looks very much like a perfected true Earth, or a much much more plausible xplane. No one seems to have made a video of this yet but I'm sure when do you all see it many will find it a viable alternative. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.
