Unfortunately, it seems that kangaroos and dropbears are not yet modelled for the Australian continent. Hopefully the release version on the 18th will include these.

Drop bears gnawing through our hydraulic lines could be an interesting challenge. 😁

How could they possibly model Australia without dropbears!?  Boggles the mind.

Although it’s nice with elephants and bears and what-not, these are sights that will need to be specifically sought out. I’d like it if they could include regular countryside animals to breathe life into the world in general. Cows, sheep, horses etc. scattered across the myriad of farms and fields out in the sticks. Then, on any given low-level flight, you would get a fair chance of catching a glimpse of some of these creatures.

Personally, I, along with many others I should imagine, will make a concerted effort to go see these safari-type creatures in the early days. Then, once they have been ticked off the list, they shall probably never, ever  be glimpsed again. Unless giraffes and elephants are going to start wandering around Wolverhampton.

Then we need a few Zombies as well.

Imagine a King Kong mission to find the guy, Big Foot, tracking zombies, whales.. There is actually so much fun to be had. Simming is supposed to be Fun, Facts & Fiction, so hopefully the add-on developers will oblige?

I like this idea, even if they aren't animated.  Just part of the scenery.

Then there is the scenario where you have to do a low level full throttle pass over a grass runway to scare off sheep so you can land.

Maybe in a DLC.  I might pay a few bucks to get this.

There's a ton of potential with these various systems that are in the sim, if only at a base level at present.

I think a lot of the stuff we can see currently, like wildlife, moving vehicles like ships, the assorted custom 3D objects in various places, should be understood as inspiration to 3rd party developers. The sim in its release state is more like a showcase of what is possible in the next decade if people build on top of it.

Memories of the ol' FSX missions...just SO much better!

The baby elephant has got lost again. Took me four attempts to find the little fella' on that FSX Mission.

There was great little freeware addon for FS9/ FSX/ P3D called Wildlife which did exactly that. It looks positively antiquated now of course but it shows it's been done before and could well be again.

Birds, mammals, whales, the lot.

Beware Asobo and MS: If I cannot find my dog running around the park where I usually take her for a walk, I will only buy this sim under protest, I swear!

And don't you dare make her larger or smaller than she is IRL!

Also her ears have a lot of ear flex, I expect this to be physically accurate modelled!

And soon, we will find that there is, in fact, a house in New Orleans. And we can even fly over it. 😊

It would be nice to have the ability to import these animal herds anywhere in the world.

Since giraffes eat tree foliage, I think I see a way to solve one of the commonly reported issues in the new sim...
