Loging to MS will be necessary to run MSFS.

Yeah that is one of the big downsides of things, especially since ironically, for a computer software company, they have one of the most bloody awful, badly laid-out websites on the entire internet, perhaps only rivaled by the GUI awfulness of Adobe's website.

Maybe you do not have the MS Store app on your system... but it is a part of Windows 10..

Not sure if this is part of my issue, but I do not have the MS store app installed on my PC.  Windows 10 Pro was reinstalled yesterday by a MS tech and ALL updates have been completed.  I googled this issue and found many people having the same problems.  I have tried all the "googled" solutions to "ADD MS STORE APP TO Windows 10 PC" and NONE of them work. Still at a loss 🤢

I understand that, that's not what I have issue with. Does my Windows PC user have to be associated with my Microsoft account to play MFS on Steam?

You don't see this Microsoft store App if you type "store" in the search bar like I'm showing ?

That seems to be an issue with update 2004 for Windows 10. Reading all of this, I guess I'll just get it on Steam.

Yes I do NOT have the APP .  I have googled this issue and NUMEROUS W10 users have the same issue.  I've tried several "fixes" and NONE work.

What happens if you got ho this page and try to log on with your account?

https://account.microsoft.com

If you don't have an account you can create it there as well.

Sorry if this is redundant and you've already tried.  REINSTALL MICROSOFT STORE APP

Type Powershell in Windows Start Search box - the Powershell APP will come up
Right click on Powershell App and click  "Run As Administrator"
Copy the below and paste into Powershell and Enter
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Once finished, reboot your computer
Look for updates in Store and update

Also , if MS had you reinstall windows you must have a lot of updates that need to install - Type "updates" in the search bar and then "check system updates"
