I'm sure we'd all root for them. I think that the developers have expended an enormous amount of time on trees and have virtually dismissed the cause of the tree height (or lack thereof). I really have been disappointed with the absence of weeds which significantly affect the effective growth of greenery (especially in the Land of Oz). I think the inclusion of weeds amongst the trees in scenery development would reveal the cause of the abnormal growth of the trees. In turn, third-party developers could include weed insecticides or fertilizers (with special Down-Under ingredients) in their new scenery creations and everyone could look-up (or look-down) with pleasure at the scenery enhancement! I think that I might like weed(s)! Do you like weed(s)???

August 14, 20205 yr A part of me would love to recreate my flights around the Flight Unlimited 3 Seattle and San Francisco high resolution regions in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, but also expand on that to include the entire US region west of the Rocky Mountains. I would love to feel that old Flight Unlimited thrill once again.... August 14, 20205 yr In FS9 I decided to visit at least one airport in every state of the mainland US so I started on the east coast travelling north and south, slowly making my way west. Sometimes I hit more than one airport in a given state. I don't remember my route as it was just heading toward whichever airport looked like a fun place to land according to the maps. I want to do that same thing again. Maybe I could start at westernmost Florida Key. I wish they would make their grey clouds a little lighter and a little bluer to match the other very nice blue based clouds. It looks odd to see the two color sets together. And as for trees - they are generally shorter in drier climates or where they are more exposed to the elements...Is there no climate data to help with this issue? and also - for cirrus - if they can have icing on the windshield (and they do), couldn't 'icing' be applied to layers of the atmosphere and the shader could make it larger and more wispy? wouldn't that make decent looking cirrus? just a thought. August 14, 20205 yr Struth, great Video. It made me smile to see how far MSFS has come over the years. If its possible I'm even more excited to get started. Lynchie 😎
August 14, 20205 yr Another flight I would like to make would be the entire Leeward Islands chain from Kure Atoll to the big island of Hawaii. I used to enjoy that in FS4 with the Mallard Software addon. August 14, 20205 yr Does “AI Traffic” still being on the“Wish List/In Progress mean that all the airplanes at the airports are just static and currently decoration? Or are those aircraft part of the living world at this point?

He explained there is a data base of tree species for the sim. This includes tree size however in some parts of the world certain species are not as tall as they exist in other parts of the world. In the CEO's own case he took photos within the sim and the real airport and reported back. So they do know, they know there are errors and admitted they readily exist. They have a way of fixing it as they run through the other "backlog" of fixes needed. Ok I've now watched the video. They mention their database of tree species and maximum heights. Tree's of "maximum height" for large species are exceedingly rare. 🦄 Consider the "rain forest" species we see in FS2020 around Sydney (and frankly 50% of the other videos). Those behemoths just don't exist in cities, nor much of the countryside. They definitely don't exist on mountain tops, above the tree line. 🤦♂️ It's nice they are fixing user reports of issues 👍 but problem is one of plausible defaults, which Asobo doesn't seem to grasp. I guess people don't look around much when outside in the "real world" 🤷♂️ Matthew S
