August 18, 20205 yr Straight and level flight with ap on, everything is great. Then out of nowhere, the plane banks heavily to the left with AP on. The AP announciator is on on the pfd. This is the 2nd time it happened to me today with just a couple of hours inbetween. Last time I had to pause the game while doing something and when I came back and unpaused it, the plane immidately went into a steep left bank and dive. update: Recycling the avionics seems to have helped. If I just turn the ap back on after recovering the plane, it just doesn't follow the FD. If I turn the avionic master switches off and on the ap behaves again. August 18, 20205 yr I think there's a bug with active pause, it messes with the avionics. Try using the pause to menu, it usually works better.
August 18, 20205 yr Author It just happened again. Comes out of nowhere. Im not pausing, just letting it get on with it and it just fails. Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
August 18, 20205 yr Author At the time the AP stopped working the first time, my keybindings on my razer gaming mouse stopped working. I can only access my custom views by pressing left alt + 1 through 0. I have the same buttons mapped on my mouse, but as I said, for some reason they stopped working. Something is going awry under the hood. Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78

In MSFS2020, however, the autopilot really only operates in CFIT mode. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
August 18, 20205 yr Ugh...those "real life" comments. Every bug is just a pure simulation of real life....right!!

August 18, 20205 yr File a zendesk ticket on the official forums. If this is a bug from the beta, there's nothing anyone here can do to fix it.

My "real life" comment ended with how the AP in MSFS2020 was faulty. Thanks for the jab though. That said, there are instances where a fault is a pure simulation. I drive trains and I want to say 98% of my job is me fighting glitches and faults. A train simmer would lose their mind in a 1:1 simulation. "Uh, why does the windshield wiper stop working at 40mph?" "Why does the computer give me a 15 speed code with a clear signal?" "Why won't the touchscreen work at all?" I'm getting this with all G1000 aircraft...will try the avionics reset but it is a bit of a mess at the moment. Immediate wild banking/altitude changes. Thought it might be a difference between XP and MSFS G1000 implementation but suspect it is pretty much broken. Anybody actually able to use G1000+AP? I have the intention of never crashing a plane in this sim & this ain't helping :-)
