Please report these kind of findings to Asobo using the Zendesk support. The developers said they have to manually go in to spots where it is off to fix it. So if you see something that is not right, and you can add real photos to show how it should look like, do so.

I reported some of these myself. The algorithm for the trees gets confused by shadows on mountain riddges for example. I saw stuff on Sicily and the Cap Verdes islands where there are trees that should not be there.

Thanks for the tip, I will absolutely do that!

🙂 Glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip.

Is it just me or are the physics in this game unrealistic?

A bit of levity I think will go a long way vs the negativity is some of the other threads. Have a great upcoming weekend, fellow nextgen simmers!

Ugh...completely unrealistic. That's atrocious. Everybody knows that all birds are high-winged

Chris

The only way we can have 100% realism is by becoming pilots and flying real planes. For $120, it’s an amazing simulator.  The good news is that these bugs can be fixed as time progresses. Simulation of any kind is very tough to build and manage, particularly flight simulation. Think weather, aerodynamics, continents, buildings, trees, roads, and all the little details that go with it - it’s a massive undertaking. Chill and enjoy the game and stop nitpicking.

I've noticed that the weathervaning effect seems to be really pronounced and take effect the moment the main gear touches down. At least that's what I think it is. I've seen the same thing on most of my landings. The moment the mains touch down, I'm off to the left or the right... I went back and watched some of my real world landings in the Baron and I never have trouble with the centerline in real life...but in the sim...my ground handling looks like amateur hour...

Lovely pics and video!

Yeah, and taxiing can be a PIA as well. Its like the planes are glued to the ground until you add a lot of power to get them moving.

This wins the internet for today.

Yeah, exactly. And thank you!

(Also, you have my favorite plane in the world - do you have a youtube channel? I got the deluxe upgrade solely for the Baron!)

Thanks, it's a great plane. I've flown it as far Southeast as Key West and as far Northwest as Denali, and lots of places in between. Fast enough that I didn't word not allowed anyone off flying into KORD or KATL, but slow enough to get in and out of short strips like KSQL (though I refuse to depart KSQL with more than a skosh of avgas if I have pax).

I don't have a youtube channel - I do have a couple videos privately shared, but I've watched too many stupid pilot tricks on youtube to want to really participate in that fiasco. And I don't have the patience to be a content creator with all the editing, etc. Plus youtube hates my videos, because there's almost always music playing through the intercom that gets captured and youtube complains about all my copyright violations! 😉

I still have some tweaking to do with rudder pedals sensitivity. But my CH yoke is working nicely. My landings in the new sim are already softer than previous sims, the new flight model perhaps? The way the 152 was bobbing and bumping through the 100 degree air feels very authentic to me. It's pretty cool listening to the engine if you slide the temperature slider to the right.
