August 21, 20205 yr Not everywhere. For example in Papua (East and West), there are hundreds of them. I've been in the sim to a few of them. They look quite nice out of the box. Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
August 21, 20205 yr Also in italy there a quite a few of them, at least judging from my local area; all I know of are there Marco Manieri Perugia - Italy
August 21, 20205 yr Are there really only a few small airfields in France in MSFS or is this hyperbole? That doesn't sound right. Edited August 21, 20205 yr by bonchie

First, there's a clear discrepancy in a number of cases between ICAO airport identifiers and how they appear in the sim. This causes me some concern regarding the nav data. I was exploring dirt strips in Kenya and Tanzania in the 208 - they're all there, they're just not all properly coded and some don't even exist in the nav database, yet if you navigate to them visually (which is harder that I thought it would be in the Serengeti. The good news is, they're all there and are AT LEAST as usable as they were in FSX or XP. The bad news is you need to find them the old fashioned way. I haven't found a way to enter GPS coordinates into the G1000 yet (I don't think we can yet), otherwise that would be an easy fix. 4 minutes ago, bonchie said: Are there really only a few small airfields in France in MSFS or is this hyperbole? August 21, 20205 yr you spurred me to check for some small ones too (here in Arizona)... I saw that Superior Mun (E81) is there, along with Globe. After lunch, I'm taking the Cub out. Will depart via Gateway, head out to Superior, Globe, and then Show Low. August 21, 20205 yr I’ve noticed a lot of fields in Maine are wrong. Our biggest field has taxi way lights all over the place, some in the middle of taxiways, and the tower is in the wrong place. Also went to a smaller airfield that was about 100’ lower than the surrounding surface. Any ideas what this may be the case? Bad scenery install? Disappointing to say the least.
August 22, 20205 yr Author Hi ! I found the airfields I missed...I have too much zoomed and finaly the airfield I searched was outside the screen ! For example LFOU ("Cholet Le pontreau"; "Cholet" isn't enough for searching...) is good rended, the buildings are generic but at their own place... sorry for my mistake 🙂 Edited August 22, 20205 yr by supersym i9 14900KF 64 Gb DDR5 @ 6 Ghz CAS 32 Asus Apex Z790 W11 64 bits pro sur Kingston FURY Renegade 2 To, MSFS 2024 sur 2 ème Kingston FURY Renegade 2 To, RTX 5090 Alim Asus Thor 1600 W Gold Ecran Samsung G9 57 pouces 8K WC AIO ARTIC liquid freezer II 420 Boitier Gigabyte 3d mars https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEFAk464aSg22aGFZ2LxeFg/videos
August 22, 20205 yr second biggest airport in the Netherlands is completly missing : EHEH Eindhoven ... a joke.... (i know EHEH is militairy and civil aviaton rents from the the militairy but thats no reason to let it out)
August 22, 20205 yr Seeing a video on youtube where the author programmed the fmc of the b747, I noticed that the navdata are rather incomplete. Why didn't they include Navigraph data I wonder.
August 22, 20205 yr papua is fab for bushflying, as is africa, yes you may need to search for some, but thats just the fun. and there is no way all the airfields will be in. a shame yes of some of the airports that have been blanked out for some reasons. but then again, there will be world updates. again i dont get it why ppl are being so negative, i am having an awesome time, low slow bushflying never has been better with the awesome weather depiction.
August 22, 20205 yr Well, maybe we around here - Portugal - are just to lucky, because I am yet to find some really small, even UL or agricultural airfield not modeled, even with respectable detail, in MFS ! I started with my typical base of operations - LPMN - and there it was, all buildings included ! Wow just WOW... Then I ventured over some areas we use as "alternates" in the glider when the going get's tough, and there they were AMAZING ! August 22, 20205 yr In the UK, a lot of smaller fields are not listed in the dropdown list and therefore do not appear on the map. But, they are on the scenery. Landing and takeoff should be possible if the grass texture is representative. Alscot, Warwickshire. Woods Farm, West Midlands to name two. Visited. Upfield Farm, South Wales yet to be checked.
