Live Traffic bug?

Featured Replies

How's this going for people?

Just some observations from my part....

I can see traffic on approach that is actually on approach in the real world - bloody amazing. Plane lands - disappears halfway down the runway and then reappears on approach.

Also the AI landing animation is very disappointing - no improvement from FSX imo

This is the only issue I currently have with the SIM, it's more of an irritant than anything else - overall I'm loving Flight Simulator.

I was flying by my local airport, and one had taken off around 4:30 est (usa) I checked departures later, and there was in fact one taking off for Dallas at 4:34.

That's good to hear - I was wondering if airport traffic density has any bearing on the issue I'm seeing - I've just left mine at the default which I think is 50%

I saw ai planes doing backflips on approach into O’Hare. 😕

just made another post about this, I'm not seeing any traffic at all.  Slider set to 50, live traffic selected, options turned on but nothing..........hmmmm

IMO live traffic is bugged or not fully developed yet. I was expecting some improvements from beta to release, but as you describe it, is just the same.

Last night I tried Live traffic for the first time but it was about 10 or so minutes behind real life.

How much traffic are you seeing and at what airport, I see zero......

Thomas Derbyshire

I was practicing touch and goes at Telluride, and a live aircraft made a landing on runway 9. Right after the aircraft started taxiing off the runway it disappeared and immediately reappeared on approach again. That's the first traffic-related bug I've seen. Live traffic has been working pretty well all week for me.

KSAN, I saw several. I looked up the flight numbers and the real life aircraft was about 10-12 mins ahead.

I was hoping someone else would ask this question. I'm seeing the same. Almost a total lack of real world AI traffic at a lot of airports. e.g. KJFK, KORD. The traffic in real life is bustling - yet the tumbleweeds are blowing through my virtual airport :(

From the traffic I've seen it seems to be about 5 minutes behind the flightaware website.

I read somewhere that resetting the Sim can help with this have not tested it yet. So say you login and make a flight , weather ( not the wind but clouds ) and traffic is ok but if you go back into the main menu and start a 2nd trip w/o having restarted the flight it can get buggie.
