August 23, 20205 yr @DaveCT2003 In your review, would be very usefull to have an insight of the "Flight Control bridge module" for the Bravo. When I see the number of "customization possibilties", it will be a Key Element of the Bravo setup (to avoid to reduce it to a simple "Throttle Quadrant") ! Thanks - Gérard PS : I am a P3DV5 simmer... Edited August 23, 20205 yr by gaab

Written Review, but we plan to do a Live Stream with Honeycomb at some point (soon). 5 hours ago, CaribbeanCLANK said: Every review I have seen regarding the Alpha Yoke has been very good, I am not sure yet but seriously considering trying a yoke. I am torn but the Bravo is 100% going to be a part of my flight sim experience. I've been using it since June of last year and I would not part with it. August 24, 20205 yr Now the question is if FS will support reversers at all. So far I can't make it work. There's always FSUIPC, but man, why can't this be built in? i7 8700K @4Ghz, EVGA RTX3080 Ultra, 32GB RAM, Two 2K displays. Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, CH Pedals.

Hi Dave, Is there any documentation, like some kind of setup manual, available on how things (switches, knobs, etc) work with the TQ? If they are about to release this I would expect they have some 'instructions' available for download so potential buyers could decide if it fits their setup and needs. For example I'm guessing the AP buttons are momentary contact (rather than latching push buttons), and the panel rocker switches are not momentary. And the knob on the left side of the AP buttons is a multiposition switch, while the Increase/Decrease knob on the right side of the AP buttons is an analog pot (would be seen as an axis) and what it increases or decreases is set by the multiposition switch on the left side. So if you have things set up with two each throttles, props, and mixtures, then with the trim wheel and Increase/Decrease pot you would have 6 axes as far as the sim is concerned, but can't be sure of all this without documentation. Thx, Al Edited August 24, 20205 yr by ark

Thx, Al Great questions! Nothing has been released publicly as of yet, and I'd very much like for my first impression to be exactly the same as what regular customers is going to be both for you guys and to provide feedback to Honeycomb if necessary. For those reasons I haven't asked, but I will certainly do so if the documentation doesn't come with the hardware or if there is additional information that is needed. I believe your assumptions are correct regarding the different types of switches, but only because it has to be that way to function correctly in the sim. But of course I can't say for sure until I receive and have gone through the TC, but I will certainly address your questions (and more) in my review. Thanks for reaching out! Thanks Dave, much appreciated. I do expect the AP buttons to be momentary contact, but the panel rocker switches could be momentary rocker switches ( like on the Saitek TQ ), which can be advantageous in some cases compared to simple SPST or SPDT switches. I take it you mean physical thrust reversers? Why isn't it that they don't work? I'm stuck using a Sony DS4 gamepad at the moment as my Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner joystick/throttle cause both MSFS and DCS World to fail to start or crash when plugged in.🙄 Honeycomb Alpha is on order (delivery due in 2 to 6 weeks). But if I hold the DS4 button mapped to throttle decrease for long enough, reverse thrust initiates on those aircraft equipped with it. So that's why I assume you are talking about physical reverse levers such as on the Bravo (and my Top Gun, which has a detent after idle for reverse thrust). As for the Bravo, I hope it doesn't flex as much on a desk as it appears to in the official preview video. I'd hate to think of it becoming damaged over time (the Bravo, more than the desk!). August 25, 20205 yr On a side note, I just got an email notification of an unexpected withdrawal from my bank account... From Amazon, for the amount I paid for my order for the "pre-order" (hate that term!) of my Alpha! Now, since they don't charge till dispatch, and since they have a lowest Amazon price up to dispatch date guarantee, it must be about to head my way!🤗 Or they've cocked-up and charged me early by mistake.😬 Hope it's the former option! Sadly, I missed the Majestic train as they came along with this right when I jumped over the X-Plane. I read about it from afar hoping they'd jump ship too, but it never happened (and seems like the right choice now). However, given posts on the Majestic forums it looks like the Dash-8 for this sim is at least a year away. I've been meaning to try out a CRJ/ERJ as a backup, but of course they're not yet on this sim either. i7 8700K @4Ghz, EVGA RTX3080 Ultra, 32GB RAM, Two 2K displays. Yeah, in addition to being a part of the Aerosoft Corporate team, I work with Majestic and a few other developers. The owner of Majestic is also good friend of mine, purely because he is one of the best and most honorable people I've ever met (in or out of uniform, in or out of the flight sim world) and he's also a genius. Roughly one year is correct for almost all the aircraft developers work, provided the MSFS SDK matures. Now I know who to elbow when the time grows near about progress. heheh I have a post around here somewhere wondering what the barrier to entry is now with this current FS. I don't think people will accept anything that doesn't at least match the look and sound of the current level of aircraft and really not sure how the small devs will be able to get to that level. I also have real concerns about the development time of the SDK. i7 8700K @4Ghz, EVGA RTX3080 Ultra, 32GB RAM, Two 2K displays. Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, CH Pedals.
