Glad you got it sorted out. Did you add ram or did you just replace it all? If adding memory fixed it you may have had a bad stick but since not all the memory now is not being utilized it ay be avoiding the problematic area. Manny moons ago I had this issue where it as only in one game and it was because it maxed out my memory and it would be writing to a bad spot on my memory. Ran Memtest and identified the bad stick and got a replacement unit for it. I'm still using the original RAM. Yep, I did think 1 of the 2 sticks could possibly have a defect, especially considering the error messages I was getting, so did some stress tests and luckily zero errors. Of course, I wasn't having problems in any other game/app. 🙂

Going up to 32GB immediately solved the problem. 😉 Exactly the same experience I shared in my "Whole Lotta RAM" post, when certain intensive flight situations resulted in unplayable stuttering and crashes on ultra settings. I was reluctant to splash out on more RAM (same type and brand), but the evidence pointed to a RAM issue. So I upgraded and, yes, it's now fixed and playable again. I'm glad I made that decision. And yes I said it was only my personal experience, because other hardware components or even driver conflicts could be causing similar problems for people, but I was only advising caution, and I think you're now the second other person to find that going to 32GB resolves crashing for them personally. Good news for us, and I hope others can resolve their performance/stability issues.

I use Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2666Mhz (the maximum speed my mATX motherboard supports), and the sim is now running fantastically for me (in all tested situations -- which isn't a "wiggle" out of anything, it's just being honest). I think I've stress tested it as far as it will go now, with multiple overlays open (VFR map, ATC control, etc.), flying close to the ground, nighttime in a city, live weather, with a thunderstorm raging and low cloud engulfing the Cessna 152. I don't know, maybe I'll find out that, in a A320neo for example, it won't work as well even with 32GB -- but then again I wouldn't be flying so low-altitude in an airliner, so I guess I'll be okay from now on. Another note, I also have 32GB of virtual memory set on my main Windows SSD and on my M.2 SSD where the sim is installed.

Also important to note it switched itself from Automatic server to the East Coast server. Manually changed it back to Automatic and it went with lowest Ping time again. That aside the patch seems to allow smoother startup (timed at 4mins on old machine) and didn't crash (yet). Going to try X1 OC to see if it will allow. CH yoke and pedals worked from the start without having to disconnect like before, but still unable to center yoke properly and have delay in pedals. SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
